1950 CHEVY HOT ROD PICKUP TRUCK HEIDT'S MUSTANG II FRONT END WITH RACK & PINION STEERING4-WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKESCUSTOM INTERIOR 350 WITH TBI (GM THROTTLE BODY FUEL INJECTION)TH700R4 OVER-DRIVE TRANSMISSION10-BOLT REAR END Truck has a 350 Chevy engine (1987-1995 vintage) that was rebuilt when the truck was built. This engine has factory GM TBI (Throttle body fuel-injection) on it, and is linked to a TH700R4 overdrive transmission. The rear end is a GM 10-bolt with highway friendly gears. The truck has a Heidt’s Mustang II style front end with manual rack & pinion steering, and also has 4-wheel power disc brakes. This truck was built about 15 years ago, and was a pretty expensive build at the time. It was driven sparingly for several years, and then was parked about 2 years ago. It has been put back into running / driving condition, and it goes down the road just fine. It is ready to go as-is for a “Hot Rod” pickup, but would need windshield wipers if you wanted to use it as a regular driver. The driver’s side door latch will have to be replaced also. All of the parts for this truck are readily available and reasonably priced. The exhaust is twin Flowmasters, but they run all the way out the back, so they are fairly quiet. The truck has Dolphin gauges, but the speedo doesn’t currently work…I’m pretty sure it just needs a replacement cable, but I haven’t dug into it. With the cost of these trucks today, you couldn’t begin to build a truck like this for what I’m asking Please look at all of the pictures, they pretty much tell the story….The underside pics will also show that this is a good solid truck. The chassis is the original factory setup, save for the Heidt’s front end, and needed modifications for the current drive trainPaint is older and is driver quality....Has chips / cracks / imperfections from previous use.
