Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...  I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knoweldge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck overall. It is finished in Deep Blue over Tan leather interior. The blue finish shows noticeable fading on the hood and roof from age but shines nicely on the sides. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Explorer, there are a few normal scratches and scrapes here and there...but nothing horrible. The only rust I saw was on the rear bumper and a little on the door bottoms, which is far better than most of this age. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of matching rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards show well for their age and are tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets show a few marks from age but are not excessively worn. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are comfortable and show average wear. Neither power seat works. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds great through the factory speakers. As with most of these older Explorers, the display to the radio does not come on, but everything works. You just have to find your way around stations without the display. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. There are also steering wheel climate controls. The cargo area is spacious and clean. As you can see, there are a few loose plastic panels here and there in the interior...nothing to hate an old truck for, though. Mechanically, this Explorer Limited appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. too. The V6 keeps perfect temperature, excellent oil pressure and feels strong. The V6 also boasts highway fuel economy of nearly 20mpg, which is impressive for an SUV. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for a solid 4x4 that won't break the bank, this Explorer Limited deserves a close look. It's got nice rubber and should go through just about anything. Now is the time to grab up 4x4s. Once it starts snowing and is cold all the time, it's going to get pretty hard to find a decent 4x4 at a reasonable price. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
