Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas with only 107k carefully driven miles. I will start off by saying that I absolutely love this generation of Jaguar XJ. It looks just enough like the old ones to carry on that classic look but with enough modern luxury and technology to make them a superb luxury sedan. I would rate the exterior of this XJ8 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. This XJ8 is finished in Quartz Metallic over Ivory hides featuring gray piping throughout, which is a subtly elegant color combination. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. How you see this Jaguar is exactly how it came in to me. It has not been detailed, prepped...or even washed, for that matter. What's more, I road tested it and then parked it inside my warehouse where it sat and collected dust (literally) for 3 weeks while I awaited the title. I then pulled it straight over and took pictures of it. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. The exterior chrome accents are all intact and shine like mirrors. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a matching set of Continental's with average tread all around. The only bad thing I can say about the exterior of this Jaguar is that the left headlight is out. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Jaguar came in. I would rate the interior of this Jaguar XJ8 to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The Ivory interior contrasts nicely against the Quartz Metallic exterior. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. As you can see in the photos, the headliner is sagging a little. This is common with Jaguars as they age. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and all four seats are heated. The leather seats are supple, comfortable and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The interior of this XJ8 Vanden Plas is filled with wood accents, which give the cabin a warm and gracious feel. Both tray tables show well and operate properly. The power rear sunshade raises and lowers smoothly. The audio system is original and sounds great through the factory Alpine speakers. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. This Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas comes with the original owner's books, two master keys and a full set of factory lamb's wool floor mats. Pride in ownership shows throughout this elegant sedan. Mechanically, this XJ8 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The air suspension stays at proper height at all times and there are no warning messages present. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine runs whisper quiet and feels as smooth as silk. The engine keeps perfect temperature at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test or at any point during my time with this Jaguar. Driving this car is simply sublime. The engine makes ample power but isn't annoying. The suspension is supple but not spongy...sporty but not harsh. To say this is a comfortable car to drive would be the understatement of the month. The seats are supple yet supportive...not soft like a beanbag chair or stiff like a bench...just perfect. Everything for the driver is right where you'd want it to be. Arm rests are perfectly positioned. All controls are accessible. Visibility is good. This is probably the perfect all around vehicle. In addition to luxury appointments everywhere you turn, unparalleled comfort and a powerful V8 under the hood, this Jaguar somehow also manages to get upwards of 30mpg on the highway. This Jaguar XJ8 has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of May, 2019. Fly in and drive this gorgeous Jaguar anywhere you want to go with confidence. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction.
