Vehicle Detail

Rust free, great running car, starts perfectly, transmission shifts smooth, good suspension and brakes. I've owned this car for 10 years, my parents 5 years before that. We purchased it on ebay from I believe the original owner who lived in San Diego, Ca. I've taken it on several road trips over 1,000 miles and would feel very comfortable to do it again, unfortunately I've lost my license and it will be awhile until I can get it back. Since I've owned the car, I've replaced many parts myself and became somewhat of an enthusiast of these chassis models, they are known to "go forever" (over 1 million miles) if properly maintained. Dash has a couple cracks, driver side interior door panel has a small portion missing and just about all of the faux wood interior trim is cracked to the point I started removing it with plans to replace them with original trim or something custom. I've replaced the ignition switch since the key started getting stuck, and the driver door will not turn with the key but does work through the passenger side and trunk. I also disconnected the factory alarm because it would activate unexpectedly, which from age could be from the sensitivity bands being brittle with age. The driver door problem and the factory alarm issue could be dealt with by installing an aftermarket alarm system that actuates all doors at the same time. All the seats are in perfect condition except the driver's seat and armrest which is typical for these cars at this age. All power controls for seats, windows, sunroof, mirror works. A/C has been converted from R-12 to R-134a and has a rather new compressor. Tires are about 4 years old but only have under 14,000 miles on them, and battery was replaced beginning of October. The body looks almost perfect but have a couple dings on the driver side that are only noticeable at certain angles, rear bumper has a small crack on the right side. Previous owner must have replaced or had the hood repainted as it has a slightly more glossier look to it than the rest of the vehicle. Replaced front window recently and is flawless. I had U-Haul install a trailer hitch and 4 plug wiring harness. Horn and rear defrost currently do not work, fuse blows every time ignition is turned on, have not gotten a chance to look into it, maybe a short somewhere. Also, cruise control does not work, but I think it is just a matter of replacing the module. I would recommend having the turbo rebuilt to get some extra power but does not hinder the cars ability to run. I recently replaced the antenna with an universal type, since OEM are difficult to find in new condition. I've added a Sirius/XM satellite JVC radio that also plays Blu-ray disc and has an audio input port. I will leave my Sirius/XM subscription running for 3 months for the buyer before cancelling so you can experience and decide if you want to start your own subscription. Like I said, I've done most of the work on this car myself as I find it hard to trust most mechanics. I tried to always use OEM parts except when unavailable and in some cases the parts were an upgrade from OEM parts in the past. I loved owning this car and had many compliments on it from mechanics and people just passing by. I have a few tools that I specifically bought for this car which if you are interested, you can have. Also have the original manuals and the first aid kit that sits in the rear window area compartment totally untouched, although I'm sure some of it is of no use anymore. if you need any extra pictures, I have more available I can send at your request and also a 90 second video walking around the vehicle as it runs. Serious buyers only, I have been 100% forthcoming in the description and If there are any additional information needed, please contact me and I will try to get back to you within 24 hours. Happy bidding.
