Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honeslty to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Ford Escape 4x4 Limited. The Ford Escape is a rugged and reliable little SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Escape to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking SUV. It is finished in Satin Silver over black leather interior, which is a good color combination. The silver finish shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Escape. The worst I can say about the exterior of this Escape is a visible dent on the tail gate right by the "Escape Limited" badge. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelins with average tread all around. The most significant thing to point out about the exterior of this Escape Limited is the lack of rust, which makes this well optioned Escape stand head and shoulders above most of its peers. Please take your time and check each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Escape came in. I would also rate the interior of this Escape Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The leather trimmed seats are soft, comfortable and are in remarkable condition. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Escape Limited. This Escape is a NEW FORD TRADE and comes with a complete set of books and manuals, as well as the original $28,000 window sticker. Again, please take your time to check out how exceptionally clean this Escape came in. Like most of my vehicles, how you see this Escape is exactly how it came in. I didn't detail it or do any recon. I didn't even wash it. How you see my cars is how I got them...no funny business. Mechanically, this Escape appears to be in good running and driving condtion. The optional 3.0L V6 starts easily. It idles a little rough (due to an audible vacuum leak) but drives perfectly fine when under load. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The V6 makes great power yet is still respectably fuel efficient. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. This little Escape is a pleasure to drive. The only other thing I can point out mechanically is that there is an audible exhaust leak, most likely in the flex pipe. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. If you're looking for a well optioned small SUV that is clean as a whistle, this little Escape Limited deserves a close look. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
