1965 Mustang Convertible V8/3 Speed Manual Power Mustang Convertible is in very nice condition. A very well restored Mustang. I purchased this Convertible in running condition. It was in need of about 80 percent restoration. The engine, transmission and drive axle assembly are in good sound condition. Runs and performs very well. The original color exterior Light Turquoise Green is the correct exterior color with white top which matches the VIN door data tag. Body New body parts hood, trunk, left rear lower quarter panel, complete one piece floor pan, upper and lower cowl, right and left doors, inner rockers frame rails, sub frame connectors, engine apron panels interior (battery apron repaired), rear tail panel and trunk floor pans. Door windows and quarter windows glass in good condition weather stripping new, windows roll up and down correctly. Windshield is new. Lower side of body painted with correct oxide brown and black on tunnel area. Engine was bay painted correct color satin black. This was a rotisserie restoration. Power Top Convertible The White top is brand new rear window new and clear. Weather stripping new Frame is good condition. Top frame is good mechanical working order, power top motor and lift cylinder work fine. Engine 289 code 4V Engine condition very excellent running condition, has plenty of power rebuild date unknown. Carburetor is a Ford 4300 4V. Oil pressure is normal, and runs in the cool to mid-range temperature when engine reaches normal operating time. Water pump, all coolant hoses, and radiator hoses replaced. New distributor, points, condenser, coil, new spark plugs and plug wires. Exhaust manifolds good condition no cracks. Engine painted correct Ford Blue. 3 Speed Standard Transmission Transmission shifts in all gears nicely. Fully synchronized transmission shifts from third to first no issues.Clutch and Pressure new clutch engages and releases correctly. Transmission fluid W90 changed, rear tail shaft seal replaced and backup switch works correctly. Rear Axle 8 inch 3.25 open. No leakage and good condition. Pumpkin housing seal, axle seals, and yoke seal all changed. Fresh W90 oil changed correctly painted as from the factory Brake System Front and rear brake shoes in good condition and all wheel cylinders replaced. Master brake cylinder Single bowl repacked. Brake lines and flex hoses replaced. Brake system completely bled. Emergency brake works properly.
