Vehicle Detail

1967 Corvette convertible with hardtop and side pipes. Nice body and interior for being 51 years old. 4 speed, posi. Manual steering, brakes, and windows. I believe the engine is a CE ( counter exchange) warranty replacement block. Engine strong and trans shifts fine. Within past month, complete stainless steel brakes, including master cylinder, new water pump and fluids. Convertible top old but functions well. Tires are good. Some gauges work, some don't. The important one is the oil pressure gauge that works. The car has good oil pressure. Paint has age patina with checking, but shines nice. The Corvette is insured, registered in my name, title is clear, and it is really fun to drive. Many compliments when driving. Original interior still nicely presentable with seams opened up on driver seat, you can't see them when sitting :). Passenger side dash pad cracked. Frame will need repair at some point, there is rust in the kick ups as shown in photos. The Corvette was an original green car, now black. Please examine photos and ask questions prior to bidding. I'll do the best I can to describe the car accurately and honestly, but it is what it is, not a brand new car. Please keep in mind a car of this age, 51, will need TLC... (For those of you not yet 51 years old, you will understand when you get to be that age. Car being sold as-is. Payment by cash at time of pick up, or unless other arrangements are made with me, so please do not pay with PayPal. No deposit necessary. If you are not pleased with the Corvette at pick up, I won't hold you to your obligation to purchase. I like to trust in a person's word and handshake. I'd like the car to go to someone who will appreciate it, and make this a pleasant transaction for the buyer and me the seller. If you decide not to come in person, and just send a transporter, keep in mind you now own it with no returns or refunds when you receive it. In fairness to all bidders, kindly don't ask the reserve, it will be revealed when reached. I will assist your shipper as much as I can, however; buyer is responsible for all arrangements and shipping costs. Please, no bidders outside the United States. Payment expected within 7 days of auction conclusion, or car may be relisted. On Oct-03-18 at 22:12:45 PDT, seller added the following information: ANSWER TO QUESTION: Hello, Congratulations on your being together for so many years. I really enjoy this Corvette, but as you can see in my description and the photos, it will need some TLC... it just depends on how far you want to go with it. I feel very comfortable driving it the way it is now. Major components such as engine, trans, and rear end seem strong. Things like paint, frame, dash pad, convertible top, etc. should be addressed in the future. That said, you will have to decide if you are willing to put some love into the Corvette down the road. Have you considered buying a restored car? A restored car would probably be the most dependable and have the least amount of concerns since every component would be virtually new or restored. That, my friend, is what only you can decide. With an unrestored car such as Black Beauty here, every component that hasn't been replaced, is 51 years old, so it will be an ongoing labor of love. Secondly, regarding price, there is a way to go before reaching the reserve price on eBay. Serious bidders will just have to bid until the reserve is met, which is the least the car will be sold for. Thank you and feel free to ask any other questions. Questions also provide more information to those watching or bidding in this auction for the Corvette. On Oct-04-18 at 05:55:45 PDT, seller added the following information: ANSWER TO QUESTION: Hello Michael, well, if you hate auctions, eBay is probably not the place to be. All kidding aside, I did not include a buy it now feature. In fairness to eBay bidders and myself, I chose to just let the auction run to conclusion. Thank you. On Oct-06-18 at 05:53:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you all for your interest and bids on the Corvette. You are most welcome to inspect the car personally. Again, please keep in mind the Corvette is 51 years old, so kindly examine the photos carefully. I have tried to show in photos the future attention the paint and frame will need, a picture is worth a thousand words, so you are the final judge. Keeping in mind what I said, Kindly ask questions before bidding, not after being high bidder. The reserve has been met, so sincerest thanks and good luck with your bidding.
