Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for your interest in our auction. We are KY Horse Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non profit that provides financial and re-homing assistance to horse owners in need. We were blessed with this beautiful Jaguar as a fundraiser for our cause. It is a 1997 Jaguar XK8. It is white in color with a beige leather interior. Every feature on this car works as it should. It starts right up quietly with no issues and no strange noises. It absolutely purrs. It has just under 124,000 miles on it. It was originally a Florida car and there appears to be absolutely no rust on it. The tire area under the boot is perfectly clean with no rust. The top has no tears or rips and does not leak. The interior leather has the desirable distressed look with no rips or tears. The carpet is good with no rips or tears. There are no cracks on the dash or the burlwood facia. There are some spider webbing cracks on shifter, and shifter burlwood surround (very minor, but I will disclose everything). Steering wheel is clean with no rips or tears (currently has protective cover on it). The console lid does have some larger distressed leather. The cup holder plastic is gone under the lid (very inexpensive and easy replacement on eBay). The paint is shiny and waxes up very nice. I cannot see any clearcoat issues, but I can see some minor checking if you are within a foot or two of some places. So hard to see that the camera cannot pick it up. Expect a few scuffs, minor blemishes, none stand out, but this is a 21 year old car. It has already reached classic and will be an antique in 4 years. A true survivor for someone wanting an awesome car to drive and or restore to a concourse condition. This car has tons of power and does not hesitate. There are no check engine lights on. The vehicle is giving the (abs, traction control, brake light warning). This is due to the ABS Pump Control Module. You can send it off for a fix/repair on eBay for $45. Look up ABS Pump Control Module Repair Kit. It does not affect the drive-ability of this car. The stereo works awesome and has a beautiful sound. We have not tried the 6 disc CD player. It does have the cartridge and it does eject and pull the cartridge in. We do have some of the manuals and portfolio that came with the car. There are no records or service history included. We are not offering any warranty or guarantees written on implied. We are auctioning this vehicle As-Is, Where-Is. There is no reserve and the highest bidder will be the winner! If you are the winning bidder, we would expect that you would come and inspect the car and make sure that it is something that you want. We highly recommend that you inspect the car or have a mechanic inspect the car before you purchase. We have run the vehicle through VehicleHistory.com LLC and it does not show any history of accidents and the mileage is confirmed. This vehicle sold in 2014 for $8,000.00. Once you accept the vehicle and remove it, it is yours. Please be a responsible buyer. If you are a bidder with less than a rating of 10, please contact us prior to bidding and confirm your standing. If you do not, we reserve the right to cancel your bid and block you from our auctions. There will be an immediate deposit due of $300.00, balance will be due within 7 days of auction end. We do not arrange, pay for shipping, or ship. Please have arrangements made to pick up the vehicle yourself or through a shipper. There is no hurry to remove vehicle, as long as the time-frame is agreed upon by both the winner bidder and KY Horse Rescue. Payment must still be made within 7 days of auction end. It is my opinion that you could fly in and drive the car anywhere. I have made 3-4 hour non-stop trips in this car without a single issue. We truly appreciate your support and we thank you for your interest in our auction. Good Luck!
