For Sale - 1997 Toyota Tacoma, SR-5, 3.4L, V-6, 4X4, Automatic Transmission, 88,722 miles. Great truck, driven easy, runs and drives well. Body, interior, engine and transmission is in good shape. The speedo was replaced at 26,384 miles in 8/1999, and 62,338 have been added since then. Full documentaion on that. Unfortunately, the underside has developed the dreaded Tacoma Rust. Frame, shackles, bumper and other underneath parts has developed rust (some heavy), and will probably not pass a Virginia inspection next time around. I've kept the body up, and it appears unaffected. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes/dings/scratches on the body. This would be an ideal car for an off road hunting lodge or Outerbanks beach cruiser, if you’re looking for a project car, or if your state does not require inspections. This has been a great truck, and I’ve driven it like this for years without issue, but it’s time for an upgrade. Relisted due to bidders financing falling through.
