Please read the entire listing for complete details and terms of purchase. Please do not bid unless you have the necessary funds already in place, and are willing to complete the sale within 3 days of winning the auction. ...That being said, let's move along. -For the serious buyer, I have a REAL XS29U code, 1970 Dodge Charger R/T for sale. As if finding a good, buildable 1968, 1969, or 1970 Dodge Charger isn't difficult enough, try finding a REAL Charger R/T that has it's Original numbers matching 440" engine??? ...Well, here it is!!! When I stumbled across this car, it had been sitting in the same spot for 35 years in Georgia. The original engine was removed from the car, and put on an engine stand waiting for a rebuild. ...Unfortunately, after bringing the car home, I have since decided that I really don't have a place to store or start restoring this Great American Classic Mopar. Therefore, I am offering it for sale. ...Up for your consideration, is a Numbers matching, 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, 440" V8, automatic trans, Classic American Muscle Car! -This car comes with it's original 440" V8 engine, and still retains it's original fender tag too (BONUS!). The transmission looks to be original too, but I haven't conformed those numbers yet. BODY: All of the body numbers match the title: That being the original door jamb decal, fender tag, drivers side trunk gutter numbers, core support numbers, engine block numbers and, of course, the VIN tag. The sheet metal does have the typical Mopar rust issues, but both of the front and rear subframes, and torsion bar mount are in very good condition. NOTE: I am including with the sale, a very nice replacement passenger side front fender, and another hood too! The car will need a new trunk pan. The interior floors pans appear to be in respectable condition, but appear to be needing a couple small patches. I believe that the front fenders can be saved, as well as the doors. The driver's side rear quarter panel has been poorly repaired at some point many years ago and should be replaced, but the passenger side quarter panel is very fixable in my opinion. This was originally a vinyl top car, so expect the typical rust issues on the roof skin. The rear valance should be replaced. The trunk lid is respectable. The front grill assembly is in remarkably good condition. All of the stainless trim is present. The fender tag is still with the car too. INTERIOR: The front bucket seats, buddy seat, and back seat are all present. The woodgrain steering wheel is still on the column, along with the shifter and ignition keys. The rallye dash gauges, switches, and even the Factory A/M Radio are still in place. I also have some New door and rear interior panels available for separate purchase if interested. I removed the old carpet to show the condition of the floor pans. The interior will need new carpet, new headliner and seat skins (...remember it is 48 years old). DRIVETRAIN: The Original numbers matching 440", V8 engine has been disassembled, and loaded into the trunk for transport. -It does come with most of the original parts, but they have been removed for rebuild: Crankshaft, heads, rocker assemblies, pistons, rods, intake manifold, etc. are all loaded in the trunk of the car. The 727 automatic transmission is still installed in the car (along with the drive shaft). The rear end is an 8-3/4", but I'm not sure of the gear ratio. It also has the 11" HD drum brakes on all 4 corners. PLEASE NOTE: I have 2 sets of wheels available for the car. The winning buyer will get their choice of either set they like with the car. (Please be aware that Only 1 set of 4 wheels will go with the car.) -I installed 2 of each style wheel on the two sides of the car for demonstration purposes. One set are magnum 500 style road wheels, the other set have original "dog dish" caps on plain "steelies" wheels. OVERALL: As I mentioned earlier, finding a good, buildable 1968, 1969, or 1970 Dodge Charger with a solid frame is difficult enough. ...However, finding a real 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, that has it's Original numbers matching 440" V8 engine, is a real rarity! From an investment standpoint, the value of the 2nd Gen Chargers only continues to rise, making this car a great investment, even if it is to be stored as it sits. This car will also make a great Father/Son/Daughter/Grandchild project, or restore or restomod it to your liking. TERMS of PURCHASE: 1.)
