I acquired this 67 VW Beetle two years ago from a collector in N.Carolina, Car has been in the South East its entire life, I have talked to all the previous owners except the first owner which I cannot locate. During my two years of ownership I have only driven the car 725 miles. Original owner was a Doctor from Florida. Doctor Gray ordered this VW as a Tourist order, Dr. Gray boarded a ship on 4-18-67 in route to Wolfsburg Germany to take delivery of his car at the factory and ship it back to the USA. I have over thirty (30)original documents including Tourist order Invoice, Shipping Invoice with letters, Auto Europe Invoice, Tourist delivery letter, Warranty booklet, Owners manual, Etc. Some documents written in German. I did apply & have the Birth Certificate from Stiftung Auto Museum. Car is Rust Free and Solid. Does show to have a older repaint that shows very well. radio delete car with a all original interior with original German square weave carpet. Trunk shows Wolfsburg factory crayon marking codes. Interior has not been repainted and shows very well, dash is in unbelievable condition. All previous owners tell me the miles are correct as car was stored more than it was driven. The Speedometer Cable has the red paint and VW stamped cable. All original date coded Sekurit glass except for the windshield, Original VW stamped bumpers, Original Front and Rear Apron, No rips in the headliner, Original tires and wheels go with the car, it has a jack but no tool kit, Original VW Fender's , #'s matching pan and body. Original Engine HO664986 with a April 1967 build date was replaced with the current Engine HO633221 February 1967 build date . All indications point to the Engine failing after the car was built either in Germany or after entering the USA. All the wiring is neat and tidy, the wiring cover, fiberboard trunk liner and spare tire do come with the car. This Beetle runs and drives out 100% , Needs nothing, Looks amazing and draws lots of spectators. The License Plate draws attention also its just a novelty plate, Car is not from Kansas
