I love the E39 and just bought an M so its time for this one to go. I'll start with the flaws:-The telescopic steering works but the gears for up/down are burned out. It can be moved manually however- Cooling fan works, but doesn't always come on. There is no sensor warning light coming on however-The air conditioner emits a low humming noise at times but otherwise works great-It shimmy's a little bit when you hit 70mph. Likely needs an alignment-The left rear passenger window motor works but could stand to be replaced- The hood/top of the car has some color fading. There is normal chipping on the front of the hood. It looks OK with a coat of wax but could use a re-spray at some point.- The CD changer was gone when I bought it- There are a few small door dings on both sides but no major dents or rust- The stereo and display lights are starting to fade in typical E39 fashion (please see pics) That's all I know of and it can all be fixed pretty easily. Aside from that, everything works great and the car is very clean. Especially the interior. Both seats are full electric and this has the M Sport Package. All the regular servicing has been done, there is no rust, brakes are good, no check engine lights, just replaced a lot of the rubber bushings as well as new sway arms, new coolant reservoir, fan shroud cover and floor mats. I'm pricing it to sell at $2,850. I did not buy this car at a good price and paid far more including all the work. Whatevs.. There is no warranty available and all sales are final Local pickup only.
