Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE (Special Edition) This is one of the very top RESTOMODS Mopar Muscle Cars in America today. Just a few months ago I had a 100K reserve on the car the Los Angeles Mecum Auction where the high bid reached 80K that day. (SEE PHOTO FOR PROOF OF THIS FACT)I'm selling the car now and leaving good value and equity to pass on to its next owner. Here's the history of the car... it was first done by Mr. Norm's as a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T (rare) SE (Special Edition) Resto Mod Challenger. Which was bought and professionally built by Dick Landy Industries under a (one-off) agreement with the original Mr. Norm. The Challenger was given the "Mooneyes" livery and known as the MOONEYES CHALLENGER R/T SE (SPECIAL EDITION) As a tribute to Dick Landy's good friend Dean Moon of The Mooneyes Equipment Company in Santa Fe Springs CA. http://mooneyes.com/about-mooneyes/This Challenger has also been included in the Original Grand Spaulding Registry. Mr. Norm and "Dandy" Dick Landy were internationally known as the Mopar muscle car experts. Their cars are some of the most collectible Mopar cars of all-time. The customizing outfit of Mr. Norms used to be known as Time Machines and Mr. Norm's Garage owned by Mike Staveski. Mike had been working with Norm and Dick Landy since 1979. Mike has been building Custom & Resto Mod Mopars on his own since 1992, he put the first V-10 in a Challenger back in 1997 that was featured in Hot Rod Magazine. He has built numerous cars that won Chrysler's Design of Excellence award, Top 5 Street Machine of the Year, Top 5 Custom Rod of the year, and the list goes on and on. This is the pedigree of this car BEFORE I fully restored it to award-winning status. Dick Landy knows Pro-Street / Resto Mod Mopars... https://www.dragzine.com/features/car-features/muscle-cars-you-should-know-dick-landys-70-hemi-dodge-challenger/ Here's the legend himself along with his iconic big cigar and Dodge Challenger Funny Car below... I bought this car (below) personally from "Dandy" Dick back in 1993 as it was his daily driver "street" car in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles California when he made the deal with me to acquire it. It has been in my custodial care since that time and I have restored it completely to its current luster you see here... This particular car is truly spectacular, no detail was left undone, and you will not be disappointed with this one. I put over 1000 hours in the build always using the highest quality parts that combine the best of old with the best of new.Such as a Dick Landy Industries fabricated and Engined an Aluminum 3-link Panhard rod rear suspension to work in this Challenger. It features all DLI fabricated parts with Single Adjustable Coilovers as well as a power rack and pinion steering unit. (DLI was known as one of the premier Mopar performance companies in the world) A newly rebuilt by Larry Ofria http://www.valleyhead.com/ VALLEY HEAD SERVICE 600 HP 440 engine and Mopar Performance Cams, lifters and roller rockers were used. Only 550 miles have been put on the engine since its rebuild. All Mopar Performance accessory drive parts were used on the engine. It uses a 727 transmission that replaced the 4-Speed manual transmission and a 2:93 gear final drive to make the car more "streetable" for driving enjoyment. HOOKER long tube headers and exhaust were also used. This car drives better than it looks, the only thing I can compare the ride and handling of this car is to the Dodge Viper-based chassis cars. The car was painted base coat / clear coat in the correct shade of FERRARI PEARL YELLOW (see photo for color code) with WHITE DIAMOND GOLD PEARL accent stripes and all the graphics on the car are painted and cleared over. The paint on this car is extremely excellent and no expense was spared when I had the car restored. In fact, everyone who sees it is blown away as it was painted by legendary California Painter "Junior" from House of Colors at a cost to me of $19,500.00 for the paint job alone. It features 17 inch Billet Aluminium American Racing wheels with a 285-35-17 rear tire and 245-40-17 front tire. The car features a new big Brembo Disc Brakes, a Hydroboost master cylinder, RT hood, high-performance Radiator and high-performance cooling system, as well as Custom Auto Meter Gauges to round out the long list of particulars on this one of a kind Muscle car. This is a TOTALLY WOW car in every way and there is no hype on this adjective to describe this Dodge Challenger whatsoever. Truly, these photos do not give any justice to the fire brilliance of the insane Ferrari Yellow Pearl and White Diamond Pearl paint or how expertly it was sprayed on to the Challenger. Offset and accented by the (white) Albino Aligator top. The cost to replicate this car would exceed $100,000.00 dollars. The reserve is set below market value as I'm very motivated to sell her and not looking for the "big bucks" at this time as I once was having recently turned down 80K at the Mecum Auction a couple of months ago (see the proof of this in the photo below)...I have free and clear title to her in hand and there are ZERO ISSUES with her whatsoever. If you have any questions that I can answer for you please let me know and I will address them and give total transparency to you openly.
