For Sale - 1997 Toyota Tacoma, SR-5, 3.4L, V-6, 4X4, Automatic Transmission, 88,722 miles. Great truck, driven easy, runs and drives well. Body, interior, engine and transmission is in good shape. The speedo was replaced at 26,384 miles in 8/1999, and 62,338 have been added since then. Full documentaion on that. Unfortunately, the underside has developed the dreaded Tacoma Rust. Frame, bumper and some underneath parts currently has rust, and probably will not pass a Virginia inspection next time around. I've kept the body up, and it appears unaffected. This would be an ideal car for a hunting lodge or Outerbanks beach cruiser, if you’re looking for a project car for an off road build, or if your state does not require inspections. This has been a great truck, and I’ve driven it like this for years without issue, but it’s time for an upgrade.
