I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta with the optional 2.0L turbocharged engine and the desirable six speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this Jetta to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in a medium blue over gray leather interior, which is a good color combination. The blue finish shows well for its age and looks smooth all around. If you look closely, you can see some slight fading on the hood and roof from age, which is common. A fresh coat of wax would probably bring it back for a while. The only other things to disclose on the exterior are a few rub marks on the bumpers and a small spot of rust over the RF fender, which is also common as these cars age. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Jetta came in. I would rate the interior of this Jetta to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headlner are clean. Like pretty much every MK5 Volkswagen, the headliner is pulling a bit in the rear. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are heated. The deeply bolstered leather seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. There are subtle wood accents throughout the interior that make the cabin feel warm and luxurious. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for both the driver and passenger. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. Rear passenger room is plentiful for a vehicle of this size and the trunk is downright cavernous. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean the interior looks in this Jetta. Mechanically, this Jetta appears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 2.0L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and adds noticeable power. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the desirable six speed manual transmission are smooth and precise, as they should be. If you follow my auctions, you'll notice that I rarely purchase a VW with the DSG automatic transmission because they are known to be problematic as these vehicles age and require periodic service, which is very costly. I would advise you, as a consumer, to do the same. If you want a newer VW, get a manual. If you can't drive a manual, learn. Out on the highway, this Jetta drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I'd drive this Jetta anywhere without a second thought. If you're looking for a low mileage driver that is well optioned and gets great fuel economy, this six speed manual Jetta deserves your careful consideration. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction.
