This is a beautiful car that runs great. The body, engine, and transmission are in great shape, but it is beginning to show signs of its age and needs to find a home with a more mechanically inclined owner. The Good: Clean car with great lines - I truly think it is one of the best looking sport wagons out there. I understand that Jaguar only made about 1,600 of these vehicles, so it always stands out. The 3.0 Liter V6 runs great and the AWD drive train means it can handle just about any type of weather. I had to replace a transmission valve two years ago and the mechanics confirmed that there are no issues with the gears. Fun to drive, handles well, interior and exterior are in great shape with all electronics (windows, driver's seat, stereo / CD player, power mirrors, etc) in perfect condition. The Bad: The climate control system needs work. The vents are stuck in the "defrost" position and the A/C system does not produce cold air. Regarding the vents: apparently there is a gear that adjusts the air flow - the Jaguar dealer service center told me that the gear has worn down and needs to be replaced. They quoted a price of over $2,500 just for labor (because they would have to dismantle the dash to get to it), so I decided to live with the vents in "defrost". Also, the exhaust pipe has a leak. The Ugly: Nothing, this is a beautiful car. 8/14: Updated "The Bad" to indicate that the climate control system does not produce cold air. The A/C system may just need a recharge, but it could be something else. 8/14: Posted in response to a buyer inquiry: You may have noticed some creases on the front driver's side wheel well. About four years ago there was an issue with the suspension in which it failed to absorb the stress of even small dips at highway speed. Instead of being absorbed, the forces were transmitted to the wheel well, causing the pinching that is visible in the picture. I took it into the shop to have them look at it and have not had any issues since.
