Vehicle Detail
This is a great opportunity to inexpensively own 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I Coupe. It has had an older restoration, which I feel was not a high quality job. The previous owner has had undercoating sprayed under the hood and in the engine compartment. Since having it delivered, I have done nothing to it except put the tail lights on and polished some of the chrome - rear bumpers and tail light housings. They came out well, but if you are looking for showroom, new parts or rechrome are in order. I believe all the parts not seen installed are present and I have new O-rings for the instrument installation. When I purchased the car, I was told that it ran when it was parked and the engine still turns free. I have not tried to start it because of the wiring to the instruments, tail lights, fuel tank, etc. needs to be hooked up. The antifreeze was drained 30 some years ago, but I think it has a small amount of old fuel in the gas tank and judging from its smell when I open the (locking) gas cap. The car came to me with newer XKE engine covers and the the quad exhaust as seen in the pics. It still has the four tires on wire wheels, which I got with the car. They hold air well and I have only had to add air twice in 5 years. They make good rollers. The seats are present, but not installed. It looks like the floor pan under the passenger seat may have been replaced, but it is difficult to tell what was done due to the undercoating. This car originally came out of the northeast, which would explain possible rust yet the low mileage. The rear hatch is wrapped for transport, but the rear glass and a new hatch seal comes with the vehicle. The color is a Jaguar color, but the previous owner says he had it painted from original grey. I'd say after it's finished being put back together, it will either make a really nice daily driver or has a great potential re-do on another restoration. FYI the vehicle is in storage in Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404. Seller will be available to meet the transporter when they come to pick up the vehicle.
