Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Lincoln Aviator. The Aviator is an upscale version of the Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer. I would rate the exterior of this Aviator to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in black over tan leather interior with factory chrome wheels. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find much worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Lincoln. The finish shows a little age but shines nicely overall and looks smooth. All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber. The rear tires are okay but the fronts are on the thin side and should be replaced in the near future...definitely before winter. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Aviator to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show acceptable wear for their age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The factory audio system sounds great and appears to be working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Aviator appears to be in good running and driving condition. The all aluminum 4.6L four cam V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. I've personally put the last 200 miles on this truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. Out on the highway, you get an occasional vibration in the wheel, which I would most likely attribute to the aforementioned worn front tires. I suspect some new rubber and an alignment would remedy that. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally. Out on the highway, she cruises easily and feels right at home. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The only quirk this Aviator has (which is shared with many of these as they age) is that the shifter button can be a little difficult. Once you know the trick, it's easy...and I'll show you what to do if it sticks when you pick up the truck. This is a common thing with these trucks. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
