Having completed production in January of 1996 and invoiced to BMW North America, this 840Ci was sold new by Beverly Hills BMW on Wilshire Blvd on February 12, 1996 to its first owner. The car would remain in Southern CA in the care of just two owners since new. Always dealer maintained and specialist maintained... since brand new, this 840Ci has seen meticulous care and storage showing original paint in outstanding condition with just minor stone chips on the front nose and lower skirt and one small scrape to the front passenger side nose (pictured). The trim and the body are in beautiful condition free from any damage or any rust. The interior is all original and in exceptional condition. The leather is very soft and free from any damage or cracking with no real visible wear marks. The dash and center console look just about new with no damage or shrinkage. The wood is excellent free from any cracking in the finish and all of the gauges and headliner are in excellent clean condition. The V8 engine starts right up and smoothly and freely. There is no smoke under acceleration or start up acceleration and there does not appear to be any fluids leaking from the car when sitting. The power is very smooth and the gearbox very responsive and smooth. No signs of any issues with the transmission shifting and the brakes have a good feel to them free from any fade. The ride is very smooth but firm, typical BMW type ride with good positive feel. The tires have excellent tread life left and the car has just had a service at BMW and a new battery. All of the electronics are operating as they were designed including the sunroof, power seats, all four windows, keyless entry, door locks, mirrors and AC/heat. All of the exterior lights are functioning as they should. This is a beautifully maintained E30 BMW that has been exceptionally well cared for and stored since new.
