Vehicle Detail

AMAZING Car, Uniquely Loaded and Incredibly optioned!!! 2016 / 15 Tesla Model S (see below for the 15/16 designation explanation)... Original MSRP $ 139,700 (See window sticker.) Extended Warranty to September 29, 2020 or 58,419 miles. Battery and drive unit go until April 12, 2024 and unlimited miles... See descriotion below for details. This car has almost every option, with exception of Pano Roof & cold weather package. Before you read any further, please understand one thing... I am a HUGE Tesla fan. This is my 2nd Model S, and I have an incredible story about my old one if you are interested... I won't bother those of you who aren't here. Regardless, I will debate, until I am blue in the face, that the Model S Ludicous Mode is the best car on the planet, by a VERY LONG WAY, by any reasonable measureable metric. I have owned some incredible vehicles in my life, quite a few of what I would call exotics, and several others that may not quite be exotic, but were and are unique and exemplerary cars. Not one of those previous cars holds a candle in a head to head with this one. It is simply amazing! LUDICROUS MODE... If you haven't experiened this yet, OMG! At the time of manufacture, this was the fastest production vehicle on the planet! 0-60 in under 3seconds!!! I can honestly say I've used it a handful of times, and have never had it in FULL launch control mode. It makes me just a little nauseous to stomp on the throttle. It pulls more THAN A FULL G of acceleration! One of my favorite things to do is to put a passenger in next to me, and stick my foot about 3/4 of the way into the throttle and watch their faces. At 3/4 acceleration, the passenger floor mat actually peel back and rests on their feet! I've never been shot out of a cannon, but I imagine that is what it would best be described as feeling like. AUTOPILOT... This is the Standard Autopilot, not the enhanced. It is Amazing, and another great way to freak out your passengers, as above. I was skeptical at first, but I have a fairly long commute to work, and I pretty much use it every time I go. I'll set it on the highway @ 85 MPH (and yes, you can use autopilot going that fast) and I will eat my breakfast, read & respond to text messages in perfect comfort and relaxation. I have driven several hours at a time with AutoPilot doing 95% of the driving. No matter how badly the media wants to report on the EXTREMELY infrequent autopilot accidents, how many 1,000 regular driver accidents that happen every day are not reported. I am absolutely amazed by this. I have 100% total faith in Autopilot. It is far more responsive than just about any good driver, and infinitely more in tune than the average distracted driver. ULTRA HIGH FIDELITY SOUND... This was a $ 2,500 factory option. It does sound absolutely amazing. As a typical Elon Musk "easter egg", the volume does go up to 11, which you know is one more than 10, right?... For all of you Spinal Tap fans out there. CARBON FIBER DECOR, and PREMIUM INTERIOR with ALCANTRA headlner and trim including NEXT GENERATION SEATS... adds another $6,500 on the sticker price. This is one area that you can possibly make an argument that there may be a better can interior than a standard Tesla, but I think with this optioning, the argument for an AMG Mercedes falls a little mute. This interior feels a little bit like sitting inside a Lear Jet sitting parked inside Carnegie Hall. It's been years, and no other manufacturer has caught up to Tesla when it comes to the technology (which is being updated on this car, for FREE, about every few weeks through Telsa magic overnight updates.) If you are not familiar with this little nugget, Tesla regularly pushes overnight updates to their vehicles, somewhat like Apple does with their phones. The Amazing part is that unlike Apple, the updates always make the car better and refresh the experience. I have never gotten an update that wasn't helpful, entertaining and/or amusing (more Elon Easter Eggs.) They almost always give you added features with no additonal costs, and they work just as well on older Teslas as they do on newer ones... in other words, unlike Apple, Tesla doesn't do anything to make you think you should go out and buy a new one (no battery throttling here.) 21" WHEELS and SMART AIR SUSPENSION.. I think they look amazing, and the suspension is very cool, and handles amazing. I have a 2nd set of 19" Tesla Cyclone rims that I bought, that I was having powdercoated Black as a 2nd set. I can include them for an extra $ 600 if you want them as well. CARBON FIBER SPOILER... another $ 1k. A very cool finishing touch. EXTRA GOODIES: I got this car indirecttly from Tesla. It wasn't quite 100% new off the line, and it wasn't quite used either. I believe it was an executive car for the first 8,419 miles of it's life. I've confirmed with my Tesla Ranger that comes out to my house whenever the car needs anything, that the warranty is extended as such from the point that I bought it as new. I have this in writing, and just had it reconfirmed 7/2, but you can call Tesla as well with the VIN# and they can confirm for you. I am a big moountain biker, and I had to have a place to put my bikes. This car has the removable Tesla Torklift Eco Hitch. It is a simple single bolt installation, and according to Torklift, you can tow up to 2,000 lbs w/200 lbs of tongue weight. I have NEVER used this car to tow anything or for anything other than mounting a bike rack, but you would have that option if you choose. For the time being, the hitch is in the trunk. TESLA WALL CHARGER: This didn't come with the vehicle, but I bought it seperately. If you have a high amperage breaker, you can charge MUCH faster with this. Two sets of floor mats... I ordered the laser cut rubber ones when I bought it, but I still have the original carpeted ones to include. It also has the parcel shelf, but I have it at work so it isn't in my pictures. I own a company that has a CA Dealer's license. We don't sell cars, but trailers. Long story short, I have Dealer plates that allow me to avoid registration fees. If you are outside CA, it's a standard transaction. I have title in hand and will turn it over with the car. If you are in CA, it's kind of a better deal for you... I will have to sell this car through the dealer license, and we will have to add DMV fees to the price. The good news is that you will not have to go to DMV, I will do that for you (In CA sales only.) POSSIBLE DELIVERY: Along with the dealer license/trailer sales, I do have a network of drivers available to make some fully enclosed deliveries at reasonable rates. I can definitely help, if you have questions, ask. I have many more pictures if you would like to see anything ask. VEHICLE CONDITION: I would say it is 9.75 out of 10. I went over it this AM after I had it washed, and all issues are named below. I would call it Excellent, but you be the judge. The paint is pretty much in nearly new shape, not quite "showroom" with the absolutely unavoidable stuff every car gets, but about as good as you can possibly expect from a used vehicle. 2015 or 2016?: Great question... it was built in October 2015, and any other manufacturer than Tesla would call it a 2016. Tesla does not have a model year in their windoiw stickers (see copy.) Between this and the fact that the warranty is extended to 09/20, I think the argument could easily be made that this is a 2016. Reagrdless, I am listing it as a 2015 primarily. WHY AM I SELLING IT?: Well, pretty simply. I am retiring. I am not using it much, as it is my to work commuter car. I will go so far as to say that it will not be driven more than 100 miles in the next week or so it might take to sell. Regardless, you can see in some of the pictures a 4WD Sprinter van that my wife and I are planning to travel the country in. It's kind of a waste to have one of the fastest vehicles of all time sitting in your garage when you are away, so we are selling it to buy a new Jeep to tow behind the van... My GREAT loss, your gain! CLEAN AND SPOTLESS CARFAX: Want a copy?? I have it and can email it to you. Only little issues: the rims have less than the standard amoount of 21" wheel curb rash. This is pretty hard to avoid, unfortunately. I park very defensively to avoid door dings (which it has none of) part of this is parking close to curbs and I have rubbed a tiny bit... see pics, it is all there. Only other reall issue is something that I really can't take a picture that shows. There is a tiny, almost unnoticeable ding in the back lid, where my bike handlebar came in contact. No paint issue at all, it may be able to be repaired by a paintless ding guy, the issue would be telling where it is while ding it, as it is so small. I have been buying and selling on ebay for 15+ years. I take pride in the fact that I have never had anything but stellar reviews both as a buyer and seller. You don't get this without going above and beyond, and underselling/overdelivering. I believe that is what I am doing here. It is an amazing car and the new owner will be extremely lucky... bid with absolute confidence. Thanks for looking!
