I am selling this project to make room in my garage. This is a 1971 Malibu which I was building into a 1970 SS clone. The main body is a 71 but I put 70 front fenders on it. This is the only major difference between the 71 and 70. All the bodywork was done and there is zero rust anywhere on this car. I inspected all metalwork prior to priming and this is a top quality professional job. The body was primed and painted with flat black to protect the metal. All body panels are painted and I have all of the metal trim as well. Included is a 396 short block and TH400 tranny. What you see is what you get. Sale also includes: metal trim, steering column, dash, rear seat, tubular front A arms, all glass is original and in good condition misc hardware and parts. The body is currently sitting on a dolly and it can be pulled up onto a rollback or into an enclosed trailer as is. I have done both with no issues. Shipping arrangements are the buyers responsibility but I will help with loading if needed. I have used www.uship.com in the past and recommend them for something like this. I have around $15,000 invested so if you want a blank canvas with a super straight body, this is the car for you. I contacted EBay but they claim there is no problem. Based on prior questions, here is more info. The underside of the body and the inside of the trunk and floor pans have been sprayed with an under body coating for protection. There was no rust in the trunk or floor. The body is completely assembled and currently mounted to the frame as shown in the pics with the black paint except the hood and trunk are now also mounted. The body panel fit is excellent with even gaps and no large gaps. I made sure all welds were butt welded and clean prior to priming and there are no areas of thick filler. It only needed a very light skim in a few spots before primer. This is ready for a nice paint job or just keep it flat black. This is not a complete car.
