A *1999 model in the builder’s catalog produced as a 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 SC. Replicas flooded the market from the 1970's onwards and Midstates, now Shell Valley has been one of the premier & respected builders providing well-built & accurate replicas since its origins in 1971. White stripes are flawlessly applied. Period correct Lucas Tri-Bar headlights have a crack along the side/top of L. light, otherwise all lenses, glass are VG/Show w/ Lexan wings & hardware professionally restored(see receipts). All Chrome is VG/Show. Custom-made 460 Emblems. Headers, Side Pipes, Mufflers, hangers & related hardware have have been professionally Ceramic Coated & polished w/ new bolts & gaskets (see receipts). PS ENGINEERING Sunburst, wheels w/ 5 Lug w/ Spinners have no damage/curb rash. GOOD*YEAR EAGLE GT II F. P235/60R15 & R. P295/50R15. tires have 85%+ tread w/ no sidewall or inner-tread cracking & new valve stems. Driver’s side Chrome Roll Bar. INTERIOR: Mota-Lita wheel has slight finish loss & horn button is upside down, but only if you’re going in a straight line. Chromed VDO gauges, dash, seats, carpets, door panels all in VG condition & approaching Show condition. Driver’s seat has outside piping wear & seats show normal wear, but no separation. SIMPSON L & R side, Shoulder/Harness system. Custom built aluminum firewall & footboxes. Custom advance wiring w/ connections pre-wired in boot for sound system. NOTE: Odometer was broken & repaired, actual mileage is apprx. 2000 more than present low reading. ENGINE/DRIVELINE: Engine bay is Show/Detailed needing only minor wiping down. Holley 4bbl. 780 cfm, Aluminum Intake & Water Pump by Edlebrock ACCEL 7100 Ignition, MARCH Pulleys, EARL’S Oil Cooler, Custom Aluminum 4 core Radiator. TREMEC T-5 5 spd., Lakewood. Bellhousing & Ford 9”, 2.77:1 rear. UNDERCARRIAGE: Midstates jig-built powder coated square steel frame w/ Rhino Lining undercoating plus sound & heat dampening insulation showing minimal surface rust on a few bare metal components. All lines, bushings, shocks etc. in VG condition. wilwood Power Discs F&R, Power Rack & Pinion steering. F. Powder coated Mustang Coils & “A” Frames. R. Powder coated 4 bar & ALDAN Coil-Over Shocks, both adjustable. MECHANICAL/ROAD TEST: Very strong, low-mileage Big-Block w/430 hp that idles w/ a nice, raunchy lope & pulls like crazy as you would expect. Tight steering, excellent brakes & no over-heating or leaks while idling for 15 mins for video & after a 20 minute test drive & sitting again for 10 mins. Current, stringent PA Safety Inspection. RESTORATIVE WORK/MODIFICATIONS: Respray by previous owner who felt the original paint was not up to his standards who also had trunk pre-wired for entertainment system. Well maintained by present owner w/ only major service being new clutch & peripherals done 8/16. Odometer repaired & new Die-Hard Marine Battery installed in 2016. Recent work performed by JD’s Performance Center, Huntingdon Valley, PA as described above. Comes w/ 2 binders of original build specs, itemizing all components etc. & a car cover. SUMMARY A vehicle fulfilling all the attributes of a #2- vehicle. A solid & superbly built Replica keeping very close to original specs of the unrivaled American Muscle Car, the 427 SC Cobra w/ a true (not bored) Big Block & period correct accessories & components. The tall/high rear ratio of 2.77:1 makes for less spectacular launches & overall better drivability, although not sedate by any means. Has the look & feel of the real McCoy, very vintage & correct in all respects w/ absolutely no issues & the only thing it needs is a new driver. Reserve is set BELOW its appraised value & will be adjusted if necessary to make a sale. Nothing quite compares to the visceral excitement of a Big Block Cobra going through the gears at speed!
