Vehicle Detail

As to myself, I am a (68) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is at 100% with (1,195) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle/classic cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers. Just some quick history on the 1973 Dodge Charger. Though it wasn't as handsome as the second-generation Charger, the third one had a look that was impressive in its own way. But this is the Charger that had to face down encroaching emissions and safety regulations, and those left it emasculated by the time it left production. But at least it was robust at the start. Changes were minor for 1973; the front grille was updated slightly and there was a new roofline visible around the quarter windows. In the back were new taillights, featuring 22 individual lenses. All two-door intermediate models were considered Chargers. For 1973, Dodge offered the Charger as a coupe, a hardtop coupe, or as an SE hardtop coupe version. The Dodge Charger was produced from 1966 through 1978, 1983 through 1987, and again beginning in 2006. Since its inception, the impressive performance and stylish bodies made the Charger an instant success. During its introductory year, 37,344 examples were produced. Dodge produced over 119,300 Dodge Chargers for 1973. The SE was the most popular of the body styles You can see a video here: Copy of IMG 4749 - YouTube Video will open in a new window Using the eBay App? The vinyl roof has also been redone and looks very nice as well. All exterior glass appears to be the original Chrysler tinted glass. Trim and bright work are considered driver quality. Original chrome racing mirrors are driver quality. Front and rear bumpers are driver quality. Rims are nice with good tires. Original deluxe wheel covers are in the trunk. All lights to include the headlights, tail lights, blinkers and back up lights are working. Interior: The black buckets seat interior is in good condition. The dash has a crack and the headliner has some issues. All gauges are working to include the speedometer, oil pressure, gasoline, alternator and temperature. The horn, heater and heater motor are working. The radio does not work. The wipers: (The wrong wiper blades were installed and because they are too tall. do not work with the hideaway wipers option. Also, the driver’s wiper does work with the hood open but the passenger’s wiper does not. I believe the wiper rod is missing to the passenger’s wiper. The two plastic grill covers are in the trunk. ) Engine: The engine appears to be all original with the exception of the intake, 4bbl carburetor and air cleaner assembly. The original intake, 2bbl carburetor and air cleaner are in the trunk. The radiator does appear to be the original as well. The alternator and exhaust manifolds are original. The A/C pump is there and turning but does not work. May need to be converted and recharged. Undercarriage: Single exhaust is in fair condition. Air shocks were added to ensure proper fit of the larger rear tires. Floors and frame rails appear to be in good condition with just surface rust. Trunk: The trunk looks clean with the spare tire and jack assembly present. The floor and rear quarters appear to be very good with just a couple areas where water stood and caused some surface rust only.
