California and Arizona car it's whole life. Always stored in a garage or carport and it shows. The only flaw is a little clear coat fade/peeling on the hood and hard top as noted in the close up photos. The rest of the paint is near flawless. The original Samurai badge and (2) JX badges are tucked away in the glove compartment. The hard top is very high quality with large windows that create great visibility and seals really well with minimal wind noise. It's got a ball hitch to tow something light. How does it run? Wow!! This Sammy runs amazing. Fires right up easily. The 5 speed tranny shifts smoothly and is super fun to drive. It runs, drives, shifts, brakes just as it should with no issues. Drives straight and true. The locking hubs turn and go from free to lock easily and it shifts into 4 wheel high and 4 low like butter. It runs straight down the road and doesn't pull to either side. She'll go pretty fast but we keep her to around 60 MPH. The AC actually works and blows very cold!! The HVAC system works just like it should. All lights function as they should. The interior is so, so nice and mostly original. The seat fabric is the only items not stock as they were reupholstered with marine grade vinyl and extra foam added. They are super comfy. The top has been on for over 15 years preserving the interior and there are no funny smells on the inside. The door cards, carpet and rear wheel well covers are original and look new. It's almost like a new Samurai inside. Original Clarion AM/FM Cassette stereo. The previous two owners used this to tow behind their RV's and is there is documentation that over 40,000 miles showing on the odometer were towed miles. This is a 5 digit odometer and has only rolled over once. Thus it shows 5,135 miles but has 105,135 miles but again only around 60,000 miles being driven if that. It's a 31 year classic Sammy and does have a few small issues. The very minor clear coat fade on the hood, one front headlight is burned out, the plastic door handles are weak and one broke. Just ordered new aluminum inside and outside handles from LowRange so that'll be a non-issue. The rear tail light lenses are original and a little faded. The speedo reads a little faster that the speed you are actually going and could be re-calibrated for accuracy but it's a Sammy so you probably will rarely speed anyway. That's really about it for any issues. So cool to find such a well kept, low miles, original Samurai. All the original interior stickers are present as are the instructions to shift into 4 wheel drive. Comes with the original owners manual and warranty book. Also just passed the strictest emissions test in all 50 states by passing California Smog! Brand new catalytic converter so no smog issues for years to come. Was registered in Arizona before and now has brand new tags good for another year in California. Such a nice Samurai!! Please call me with any questions at 8zero5 252-o754.
