For Sale is a beautiful garage kept 1949 Desoto Custom Coupe. I am the second owner of the vehicle since 1967. The vehicle has 80,000+ original miles. The motor is original and runs great. Engine is clean and well maintained. The Desoto Custom Coupe has a catching body style, with a lot of chrome on the inside and outside of the vehicle. The vehicle has always been garaged and has been stored in an Antique Car Museum for many years. Good windows, good outside mirrors, full size hub caps, lighted hood ornament, original radio, original clock and good interior. Very light rust on the bottom of the chassis. This Desoto is stock with a fluid drive transmission and a tip toe shift that requires a clutch to get into gear but drives like an automatic once in gear. Recent items maintained on the vehicle are new plugs and spark plug wires, 4 new tires, new front brake shoes, new front wheel cylinders, and new battery. Everything works but the engine temperature gauge. Assorted spare parts will go with the car. Only pending maintenance is a new radiator in the future and new rear brake shoes.
