This 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II is a true survivor car. The Continental Mark II was produced in very limited numbers in 1956 and 1957 only. They sold for around $9500 and cost Ford $15000 to produce. These were produced in very limited quantities, approximately 2500 in 1956 and only 700 in 1957. This particular Lincoln belonged to a very close friend of mine who has passed away. I am selling it for his widow. He owned a very high end restoration shop and this car was his baby. The interior and exterior of this car are in excellent condition. The bumpers have been rechromed. The interior is 100% original with the exception of new carpet. The paint has some cracks, as shown in the photos. This car was originally gray and was repainted blue many years ago. This Lincoln has all of the options offered in 1956, including the 368 cu in (6.0L) 4-bbl Y-block V8 engine. It currently has only 53,000 original miles on the odometer. This car runs and drives perfectly, is super smooth on the road and all power and electrical options work as they should including the only option available which is through the roof air conditioning. If you are looking for an original survivor car that continues to appreciate in value, it is the Lincoln Mark II. The Mark II's were owned by many celebreties including Elvis Presley. The frames on these cars are notorious for rusting through. The frame on this car is 100% solid as this car was always garage kept and never driven in inclement weather.
