If you’ve been waiting for the right 280SL to come along…this is it. This one family owned Mercedes was purchased new by my mother back in 1968. It has less than 44,000 original miles. Thie mileage is documented by inspection and maintenance receipts showing incremental mileage increases on an annual basis right up to the current mileage. There were very few options available on these cars, but this car has all of them including a removable factory hardtop, air-conditioning (Kuhlmeister), and a Becker Europa radio. Documentation includes the original Mercedes-Benz Data Card, Complete original Owners Package including the Owners Manual, Warranty Booklet with original Warranty Card, A/C Booklet, Radio Booklet and Warranty Card, and seat belt brochure, as well as receipts for repairs and maintenance. The car is almost entirely original with the exception of one older repaint in the original color. The engine is original and so is the sheet metal, including the floor pans.
