My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is an exceptionally clean 2001 Volvo V70 XC. I would rate the exterior of this Cross Country to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a very well kept wagon. It is finished in Ash Gold Metallic with brown cladding over matching Taupe leather interior, which is a good color combination. The finish has a deep shine all around and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age ang mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Volvo. All of the trim and cladding is present and looks good. All of the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of Michelin's with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this V70 XC. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this Volvo came in. I buy and sell quite a few of these a year and I would put this one up against most I see with half the miles, it's that clean. I would also rate the interior of this V70 XC to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION. Please check out these photos carefully to see how exceptionally clean the interior of this V70 looks. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats in this Cross Country wagon are in exceptionally good condition for their age and show virtually no wear. The seats are soft, supple and very comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. The sunroof does not work. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats, including the rear cargo mat, are included. The audio system is original and sounds good. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for both the driver and passenger. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this Volvo. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 2.4L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. This is such a nice driving Volvo. Everything feels nice and well sorted. When this Volvo came in, it had a transmission issue, which is common as these cars age. Normally, I would have just run this through auction to get rid of it but I chose to fix this one because it drove so nicely. I purchased a 117k mile transmission out of an exceptionally clean XC that had been hit on the side, so this V70 XC has a 117k mile transmission in it so no worries for a good while on this one. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely zero complaints. I would drive this XC anywhere without a second thought. The AWD system is tested and working properly, too.
