2007 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT 70,467 Miles Hello world, my friends and associates. Welcome to my Divorce auction. Back Story.......I recently bought this beautiful car to surprise my wife for her upcoming 35th birthday at the end of this month. I had shipped it across the country, stored at a mutual friends house, paid for a detail service to condition the leather and polish the exterior it, changed the oil, checked out the mechanics etc. I have been getting it prepped for her in secrecy over the last month. This past weekend she decided to surprise me with divorce papers for me to sign instead....I didn't see that coming after one year of what I thought was a good marriage, but such is life....I signed them, screw her. She was even kind enough to send me a text message the following day letting me know that she is keeping the the 2ct engagement ring I gave her...... I realize now, it's was only money she was after and I won't make that mistake twice. Life and karma will deal with her in due time. Now lets move on to the car..... A few year back I personally owned a Grand Sport and a 05 Quattro so I am very familiar with these cars. They are a ton of fun to drive. To quote editor of MotorTrend magazine Mac Kenzie: “ It has more charisma in its front fender than a new S-Class and 7 Series put together. And a V-8 under the hood that at 6800 rpm sounds as spine-tingling as a Pavarotti aria.” We have all seen Quattroportes' but nothing that shows like this one, I guarantee you that. The color is Ferrari "Rosso Barchetta 320". What I was told by the dealer is not only was it an EXPENSIVE custom color request ordered from the factory by the original owner who spec'ed the car. The color has exclusively been used on Ferrari's and did not become listed as a custom "Maserati" color code on any model Maserati ever produced before 2016. That being said, there are still only 3 know Maserati's in the USA ever ordered in this color. Two are Grandturismo's but this is the only Quattroporte finished in this color. Everyone notices & loves the car and honestly its because the color is so AMAZING in the sun. Exterior is in great shape with the exception to some minor spots which are hard to point out. The Gloss Black powder-coated wheels are in flawless condition. Free of any curb rash and they give a nice contrast to the body color and flow with the semi dark privacy window tint. Even the silver brake calipers flow with the chrome window trim, side grille, and door handle trim. Its perfect. Engine and Trans mechanicals are both designed and supplied by Ferrari specifically for this platform. The Ferrari F136S engine in this Quattro Sport GT is a variant of the F136E engine found in the Ferrari F430......I don't need to say anything else about that do I? The F1 transmission fitted to this Maserati is also the exact same one you will find fitted in the Ferrari 360, F430, 575, 612, and even a variant of it in the 1.5 Million dollar Ferrari Enzo (Do your research) You may have heard some chatter from some dweebs about these F1 cars not being as smooth to drive as a Lexus LS. Again, my response here is if you want a car that drives like a Lexus, go buy a Lexus. If you love the ZF transmission in you BMW, Jag, Benz, etc.... you can even go buy a newer Maserati and get it with the same ZF transmission thats in your German sedan or suv. This is car is not that.....this is a four door Ferrari F430 and it drives like a Ferrari F430 because......MECHANICALLY IT IS EXACTLY THAT! Moving on to the interior.....there is leather everywhere your hands touch with exception to the hand crafted solid wood steering wheel & the Piano Black Dash and door trim. Obviously the finest leathers hides were used throughout the entire interior and the contrasting red seat stitching give it a little bit of flair also. Both driver and front passenger seat are fully powered and free from any rips or stains. If you are looking for a ton of technology like 360 degree cameras, lane departure warning alarms, and a built in touch screen app to order your daily cappuccino from Starbucks. Please stop reading this ad right now and visit your local Volvo or BMW dealer. This is not the car for you. If you want a true drivers car that makes you want to take the longer route everywhere you go just to enjoy the sound of a natural aspirated, hand built, Ferrari V8, please continue reading. Don't get me wrong, you do get a OEM in-dash navigation, the optional 6 disc CD changer up front, A "Parrot" CK3000 hands free bluetooth system has already been professionally installed and mated to the car, along with a bluetooth FM module to stream audio from a mobile device. Just like all other Italian sports cars this was created to be a focused driving machine for a very focused driver. Besides the sound of the exhaust you will enjoy the the audio system, it is unlike any other that I have personally experienced. The sound that this audio system produces is so much better sounding than the Bose system in my 09 Porsche Carrera and also more powerful. There is also some creature comforts in the rear of the cabin to speak of. This rear of this Sport GT is equipped with a dealer spec Rosen 6 Disc DVD changer in the trunk, two 7 Inch adjustable back seat monitors. Your rear seat passengers (or kids) will enjoy watching a movie in the theater like reclining and heater rear seats. And they most likely will never forget to place up the rear powered sun shade and rear door privicy shades as they enjoy a movie without the sun peaking through. There is even a "Limo" mode button to push the font passenger seat forward for more leg room tucked away in the rear center console between the heated seat controls. And of course the rear seats leather surfaces are free of rips and stains. I wasn't going to mention it but there is also a Full front and rear K40 Radar / Jammer System with diffuser, speaker, LEDs etc currently installed on the car. It's top a the line equipment that retails over $2000+ installed.It will definitely help you avoid the flashing red & blue lights in your rear view especially if you have a heavy right foot. This car stands out so you WILL be frequently targeted by radar and lasers by the troopers who like to hide in the bushes. **Unfortunately, even though the K40 system is currently installed it is not and will not be included in the sale of the car. After auction ends, I will have it professionally removed and reinstalled on my Porsche Carrera instead.
