1988 Mercedes 300 TE This vehicle has been with our family since 1990 and has been garaged for most of its life. As you can see below, I have not only maintained it extremely well but in addition have also changed the oil every 3000-3500 miles as recommended. It starts on the first turn and drives on the highway like it did when we picked it up in 1990. The chocolate brown leather interior is in quite good shape considering its age (it has been repaired in 2 spots on passenger side seat) and is unique since I am yet to see another 300 TE with this color. The paint is generally in good condition. I repaired a small rust in the driver’s side near the rear window myself and did not do a great job. It is a very small spot that would need a touch up to make it look neater. All electric windows, electric seats, stereo and sunroof are fully functional. The rear door needs new struts. I would say 90% of the driving I have done has been highway driving. I have decided to move onto a newer Mercedes Wagon since this one has been so good to us. However, it has stalled a couple times recently and may need someone who can take care of it themselves.
