The bike's history, as I know it, is that it belonged to Ed Brooks of San Jose CA, and sat in his warehouse for maybe 20 years until the end of his life, then some years longer until the auction of all his motorcycles and memorabilia in 2011. The machine was then purchased by Al Burtoni of Lamborghini fame and V12 Engineering. He passed away in 2014, and his wife is finally trying to simplify her life and move some her deceased husband's treasures. So here we are. The bike is solid but not perfect. Study photos carefully. If it looks like a flaw, it is. The bike has not been mechanically tested other than I kicked through all three cylinders a few times and I feel compression is solid and no funny noises were heard. It had not been run when prepared for the 2011 auction, according to my records, and I don't believe any mechanical work was ever done since. It is as it was parked in the '80s or so, I believe. The machine has a Boyer ignition or something similar, and early BUB-copy Norton peashooter mufflers, that were known for separating at their end-tips. Other than that she seems pretty stock and solid. It would make a fine rider with a little work, pretty sure. Shipping the responsibility of the buyer.
