Offering up for sale is a very desirable 1960 Chevy Impala 2dr hardtop. The 60 Impalas have styling that is like a fine wine, just gets better with age. This is a very restorable and solid car. It has the Pyramid heads HiPo 283 and does run, with 2spd power glide transmission. Power steering, and 4/70 air. The brakes are not operational at this time and may need a complete overhaul. For the money, I would convert it to 4 wheel disk and be done with it. Most the trim is with the car, but it is missing a few miscellaneous pieces that are available on line. The interior appears to be mostly complete with exception of the drivers side door panel and factory steering wheel. The odometer looks to be original, but it looks like the other gauges have been replaced with aftermarket ones. The floors, and trunk appear to be solid but does have some pin hole rust, but there is not any areas I think I could put my foot through. However, to make the car right I would replace the floors and trunk. The Right side inner and outer rocker will need to be replaced, as well as the right side inner and outer lower rear quarter. The only other rust area I have found on the body is the trunk lid under were the tail fin trim would be. The few areas that have rust would be very easily repaired. Frame is in good shape and as you can see in the pics, the under side is pretty clean for a 58yr old car. The body is fairly straight but does have a few minor dents and a little hail damage on the deck lid and roof. The Impala does come with a clean Kansas Title. I am listing this car with the intent that all aspects need complete restoration and it will need to be taken home on a trailer. This is a reserve auction, and the car will be listed in other publications as well. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if it should sell before the Ebay listing has ended.
