Its time to sell my very well maintained 1973 BMW R75/5. This is a short wheel base model. New items and service include...EME Battery cable kit, Enduralast starter ( original one included in spares), EME 450 watt Charging system, enduralastPoints saver moduleStarter relay changed to later style relay. crankcase breather upgraded to later reed style from CycleworksNew clutch and pressure plate. (old one was not worn out) new flywheel bolts, rear main seal has been replaced, oil pump seal has been replaced. New Spark plug wiresNew Avon speedmaster vintage tires and tubestrans oil and shaft oil changed, final drive oil changedmikuni slide carbs from rocky point (original Bings included in spares -they have not been rebuilt)corbin gunfighter seat (original one is included in spares -back area is ripped) silicone oil pan gasket Valve clearance has been set, point gap checked speedo and tach work- (the speedo has been changed by the previous owner so mileage is not accurate)good deka agm style battery exhaust nuts have been removed and greased with anti seize. no issues. transmission splines have been lubed, rear wheel splines have been lubed- they are in good shape with minimal wear. upgraded to /6 style vented front cover (original included in spares)steering bearing checked and greasedtank lining is in good shape- it is not peeling into fuel filtersnew grips and foot pegswheel bearings have been greased. original paint -hand painted pinstripes !Known issues small dent on top of tank, neutral light does not work, speedo was replaced by previous owner at some point. total mileage is unknown. best guess is 43,000mikunis do not hold cold idle well have to baby it until warm. newer style starter relay does not have safety lockout when running- This is a great running bike and is a lot of fun on the mountain roads!Titled and registered in Texas.
