Vehicle Detail

I have a 2004 Chevrolet 3500 HD Silverado LS 4x4 Crew cab dually for sale that belongs to my father. Read Carefully! The fuel tank on the bed does not go with it. This truck was purchased about 4 years ago by my dad to be his trailer towing truck. He hasn't put very many miles on the truck. It is a fully loaded 3500 with the Allison automatic and the Duramax engine. The truck only has 124,583 miles on it. In June of last year he installed the new CM bed ($5500) and the Ranchhand front bumper ($1200) and a new set of steel wheels ($630) The tires on the truck are Firestones with 20,000 miles and look excellent. They drove it to Colorado in the fall and ran into a cooling issue with the truck. They took it to a shop and the guy installed a new water pump at a cost of $1400. Went back to driving it and ran into the same problem with coolant leaking. I went out and got the truck and brought it home. I went to tearing the truck down and was very meticulous with pictures, bagging bolts, and adding notes to parts. I got a decent ways into the job, about 16 hours, and he decided he didn't want to put anymore time or money in it. So, now it has occupied my shop all winter long. The truck is leaking coolant on the driver side head about half way down. I didn't get in far enough to determine if it just the head gasket or if it needs a new head. I was not gonna finish it and pay for the parts out of my own pocket. Now he has told me to sell the truck. This is a very good driving truck. Everything on this truck works. The bed and bumper are not a year old and have been in my shop for the last 6 months. The bed does have an extra gooseneck ball added to the trough area on a steel plate and the driver side fender well has a little paint damage from something bumping into it. I have about 50 pictures of the disassembly that will be included with the purchase. The paint is above average for a 14 year old truck. It does have some scratches and nicks in the paint. The interior needs to be cleaned and it will look very sharp. There is a dark colored stain in the middle section of the rear seat but I think it will come out. For the mechanically minded person, this is the chance to get a very nice truck worth the money. This truck will easily bring $18-20K fixed. I am not looking to trade or for advice on how to fix it. I can push the truck up on a trailer easily and will gladly load it on a hotshot if you know of someone coming through the area at no charge. Thank you
