2004 Volvo XC 90 All-Wheel Drive, 198k Miles No Reserve. Excellent Condition for Age. Run Great! Located in Lubbock, Texas (79416) What it Is: This is my daughter’s 2004 Volvo XC 90 AWD. My daughter has driven this car since I purchased it in May, 2015. She is selling it because she has graduated from college with a master’s degree and will be getting a real job soon. She’s off the payrollJ. Real job = real money = new car! What’s the Story? : Back in 2015, I purchased this Volvo for my daughter who would need a reliable, all-wheel drive SUV for the occasional snow and cold weather in Wyoming. I found one on eBay and I took the used Volvo to our local mechanic and had him go over the car with a fine tooth comb. “Fix everything than needs to be fixed” were the instructions. It was already in pretty good shape, but all fluids were replaced, all filters were replaced, and a new set of brake pads were installed. The mileage at the time was about 150k. The car as preformed just great since then…..no issues at all other than routine maintenance. Condition: Overall, the condition is excellent for its age and mileage. The mileage is just under 198k now, but frankly……the car looks like it has less than ½ that mileage. The car has been repainted, but it’s done nicely and it’s the original color. There are no scratches or door dings in the paint, but up front there are a very few stone chips. I replaced the yellowed headlights with a pair of brand new ones, so those look new. The glass and interior are all original. The rear glass has been tinted. There are a few blemishes on the wheels which I have shown in pictures (typical). Mechanically, the car is terrific. I could confidently drive this car anywhere. My daughter just completed a 700 mile trip, Wyoming to Lubbock, Texas without single hiccup. The turbo-charged engine runs great – just unbelievably smooth and quiet. The car has PLENTY of power. The Volvo rides great and does not pull. The car brakes straight as well. There are no rattles or funny noises or smells. No warning lights or check engine lights. We put a brand new set of Goodyear tires on at 178K miles. Plenty of tread left. The interior could use a good detail. The leather interior is showing some age. The driver’s seat has a seam that failed. The coloring is wearing thin in spots. Same with the armrest. The HVAC system works great and the AC will freeze you out. My daughter tells me that the following things do not work on the car: The driver’s electric seat warmer, the display for the radio / CD player. The radio and CD player work fine, just no display. The rear, driver’s side window does not work. That’s it…… What You Get: You get the car, the owner’s manual, one remote key / fob, one spare key (no remote), floor mats, all maintenance records since 2015, and Bill of Sale and clear title. You will also get an airport pick-up, if you need it. The car is located in Lubbock, Texas (79416) and we have an airport service by SWA, AA, and United. If you fly in, we can pick you up and you can drive it home. If you ship it, I will help facilitate…….but that’s your responsibility to arrange and fund. Terms: Full payment will need to clear the bank, before the car will be released. Payment needs to be made by Cashier’s Check, following PayPal deposit. The car is garaged at my home in Lubbock and can remain there until you make travel or shipping arrangements. If you ship the car, you are responsible for that.
