Vehicle Detail

This 1990 Pontiac ASC-McLaren Turbo Grand Prix is powered by a turbocharged 3.1L V6 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and shows 78k miles. Fewer than 3,500 Turbo Grand Prix were built by ASC-McLaren for 1989 and 1990, and when new they cost around $5k more than a similarly optioned Grand Prix SE. In addition to the engine modifications, Turbo Grand Prix feature 16×8″ alloy wheels, stiffened suspension, wheel arch extensions, unique front and rear fascias, and functional hood louvers. The ASC McLaren Grand Prix Turbo is based on the Grand Prix SE, and features unique front and rear fascias, functional hood louvers, and wheel arch extensions fitted by ASC-McLaren. 16×8″ alloy wheels were also fitted to the Turbo The cabin features power adjustable front seats. Both front seats also incorporate power adjustable bolsters and lumbar support. The stock Delco-Loc 8-speaker stereo system is in place, as is the stock steering wheel with several wheel-mounted controls. Many of the common controls, such as the headlight and wiper switches, are mounted on the instrument binnacle, rather than on stalks Power comes from a turbocharged 3.1L V6 built by ASC-McLaren for Pontiac. Turbocharging raised output from 130 horsepower in a standard 3.1L Grand Prix, to a rated 205 horsepower in the Grand Prix Turbo. The Turbocharged V6 used a unique crankshaft, 8.65:1 pistons, a high capacity oil pump, and a water-cooled Garret T25 turbocharger with an intercooler. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transaxle. These are rare and getting hard to find in nice condition. I'm thinning the herd as the McLaren has been bumped from its spot in the garage my loss is your gain
