Vehicle Detail
This is a fully restored Emberglo on Emberglo Galaxie 500 7-Litre Convertible. In 1966 Ford introduced their new 7.0L 428cid 345hp engine in this classic rare edition car. The powerful and smooth engine coupled with a sturdy C6 Cruise-O-Matic automatic 3 speed transmission makes it the perfect open road cruiser. Options are factory AC, Visibility Group, Courtesy Light Group, PW, PS, Power drivers seat, Passenger side-view mirror, original AM radio rebuilt and converted to AM/FM. The body, exterior badging and rocker moldings are in beautiful condition. The car was stripped to bare metal, any body work repair was done in lead and a rust inhibiting primer was applied to the metal prior to paint. The Emberlgo paint is absolutely phenomenal and definitely stands out in the crowd! Upholstery and carpet are in very nice condition. A lot of work went into detailing this car, down to replacing nuts, bolts, bushings and rubbers. Dash and all gauges were sent out and refurbished. Brightwork is in excellent condition. Fully rebuilt heat and AC system along with new compressor and radiator. Brand new Holley double pump carburetor and new fuel tank. Front disc brakes with dual master cylinder. New Magnum 500 chrome wheels and tires with Ford crown inserts. I have the original rims and 5 wheel covers. Runs and drives beautifully, 90K original miles, engine rebuilt at 81K miles. Many other updates and extras. The vehicle resided in California with the original owner's family most of its existence. A real head turner, it gets crowds around it every where it goes. An impeccably maintained car that looks like a garage queen, but is truly fun to drive! Body 76D, Color V, Trim 84, Date 18B, DSO 71, Axle 4, Trans 4.
