1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle - NO RESERVE! Odometer says 51XXX miles, but this car has undergone some restoration prior to my purchasing it. The previous owner had pans replaced (approx. 2007). It was my understanding that the engine had been rebuilt and the transaxle gone through at this time, but I do not have the documents to show this. I can say that the car runs and drives just fine and I even used it as a daily driver for about a year (until winter - the 'defroster' isn't of much use, as you probably know). Since then, I have replaced all the rubber in the fuel system, replaced the master cylinder, and replaced front end bushings (no super beetle shimmy now) and tie rod ends. Improvements: Shifter upgraded (I will include the original unit) Ignition system is now SPDA electronic unit (I have the Bosch 009 full mechanical distributor) Electric fuel pump.Overall, the car is in great shape, but I have tried to show a couple of locations where the paint is beginning to blister, and where there are some minor chips.
