Vehicle Detail

This car turns heads and gets compliments every time we go out! People actually stop what they are doing and call out, “Nice car!”. They really do! Family owned since 1990. Always garaged and only used for joy rides. It won a ribbon at the Denver Automezzzi in 2002. It spent much of it’s life in Colorado with some time in Portland, Seattle & California. It had extensive restoration done in early 2000s by my brother-in-law that loved this car. He owned it most of the time and kept his receipts. I had it professionally appraised in 2013 (Auto Appraisal Network). I can send you the report on PDF. Everything was rated at good or very good condition. Body- Stripped down to the metal and resprayed in 2001 with rare British racing green w/ subtle metallic finish and pin stripes. (Wheels of Time, Englewood, CO) Front and rear bumpers have been re-plated and look great. Drivetrain- It has a rebuilt engine (Aspen Motors, Englewood, CO) with approximately 6,500 miles on it. My brother-in-law spent over $5,500 in 2005. I’m not a car person, but it says High compressions pistons, performance cams fed by a Weber 36/36 DCNF. (I have the receipt for more info). The car had 95,435 miles on it before the rebuilt engine was put on according to the receipt. The car runs great and has a roar like a sports car! Suspension- Sport springs, Kong shocks, sway bars, lowered the car about 2-3cm (Bear Frame & Axle, Denver) Rides on a set of Abarth/Volumex wheels. Interior- Seats are original and in good condition, but not new condition. 2 small tears in the back side of seat are being fixed. (If for any reason they cannot be fixed, I will take a photo and we can negotiate a discount). Interior door panels in very good condition (new in early 2000s). Wood Momo steering wheel. Has a removable stereo. Carpet & floor mats look good. Top- Looks good. Stored w/ top up so no creases would form. Back “window” of convertible is clear w/ no known defects. Top looks great. Upgrades- Hard to find luggage rack, Ansa dual exhaust muffler, halogen headlights, passenger side rear view mirror, front air spoiler. Windshield was replaced in 2013 and is new as of 2013. Car has been maintained at good shops that know the car: Hilltop Service Puyallup 253-845-4505, WA & Modern Classic Automotive Sacramento, CA 916-920-5263 Jay Rapozo. Jay at Modern Classics gave it a thorough going over and everything as far as I know has been fixed for it to be sold. He can tell you much more about the car. He told me it’s one of the nicest Fiats he’s seen in a long time and he owns several. Truth in advertising- I will take pictures of any known flaws to be completely transparent. It is not a new car and I absolutely do not want to cheat anyone. There is a small paint smudge on the side that is about 1/2” or so, cracks in window rubber but do not squeak or impair window movement, 2 small tears on the back side of the seats that I’m hoping to fix so you can’t see them. If I can’t fix them, we can negotiate a discount. Driver door does not lock, but I use a steering wheel club anyway. I don’t think this is really a flaw because if someone wants in a convertible, they could always cut the top, so this prevents that. There is a tiny pin that comes out from the top clip which I just put back in when I close it. I just keep it in the ashtray and put it in if needed. One of the screws was replaced on the top handle and glued in. It works fine, but you can see some of the glue. Floor mats are in good condition, but front ones have some discoloration over time. The trunk opens fine, but the spring is weak, so I have a stick just in case for extra strength. It qualified as a “collector” car in Washington and Colorado. The WA collector status means that plates don’t have to be renewed like other cars. Check with your state to see their rules for collector/classic cars. Some states have exemptions for older cars. Other than minor or cosmetic flaws, I do not know of anything wrong with the car. I have receipts for everything on the car dating back This is a really nice car, but I hardly ever drive it. I’ve got a kid in college and need to sell it.
