Vehicle Detail
Relisting due to buyer thinking I would deliver from Ohio to California. NO SHIPPING OR DELIVERY AVAILABLE - PICK UP ONLY - NEW CARLISLE OHIO Sorry, but I hope no one misses that, even if it clearly stated it in the bottom of this original ad. 2005 Jeep Liberty with close to 183,00 miles. Great body and interior, with only a little rust under the bottom of the front doors. There is a small dent on the driver side back door from a shopping cart. Seats front and back are stained (as most liberty's are), but can be seat covered. For some reason, Jeep never figured out the fabric on these early models, as even water left stains. This was the 2nd one we owned, and had the same problem with it also. Tires still have more than half of the tread on them, and vehicle has always been serviced. All electric windows, locks, etc. work fine. Dealer installed Reese style trailer hitch recently due to recall issue with Liberty's and their gas tanks exploding in a rear end crash. I wired with 4 prong system to pull trailer. Now for the problems:The air conditioning does NOT work. I believe the compressor? needs replaced. At least that is what someone has told me. The transmission is starting to slip, and I believe needs to be replaced or rebuilt. The vehicle won't go into 4WD, and a couple of people have told me that there is a problem with the transfer case also? I am not a mechanic, but sounds like it to me. Service engine light has been on. Shop awhile back said it was CO2 sensor. I just never replaced it. Vehicle currently still runs and drives, but issues will need to be resolved. We currently have 4 vehicles, with only 3 drivers, so I am not going to spend the money to have this fixed. It's a very nice looking Jeep, strong engine, and if the transmission was not messing up, I would not hesitate to drive it from Ohio to Florida and back. That is how much I have trusted this thing. Once it started slipping, we just quit driving it. That was in late July 2017, and it has been sitting in our barn yard ever since. Springtime, and ready to clean things up around here. Don't email any low ball offers. Could be a nice bargain if you are, or know of a mechanic. I would recommend putting vehicle on trailer for transport, just to be on the safe side.
