Original owner. Never in any collision... not even a bump. Needs work. I am tired of fixing things. Want to sell it so someone else can have fun fixing it. The good: Engine is good. Transmission is good. I recently replaced the transmission fluid myself. It was changed two other times over it's life. Oil changes every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. I replaced the two rear wheel bearing/hubs two years ago with Timkens. Rear door handles both replaced and repainted by me. The timing belt and related parts and water pump were all changed with a set of all made-in-Japan parts, at 99,000 miles. The harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley) is fairly new with a Subaru part. The wires are new Subaru wires. The ignition coil is a new Subaru part. Front axles were replaced a few years ago. Valve cover gaskets were fixed at about 2 years ago. The struts are two years old. The catalytic converter was replaced last year under extended warranty for California emissions vehicles. The passenger airbag canister was replaced under recall. Does not appear to burn oil more than normal amount. I replaced the in-tank fuel filter about two or three years ago. The Bad: The suspension needs works, as the tires are wearing out rapidly. Apparently the new struts and two alignments did not solve the issue. Probably needs new control arms or bushings. Tailgate needs new wiring harness. I used wire nuts to pass inspection last year. I have the tailgate trim cover. The AC does not work because when the harmonic balancer failed a few years ago, the belt sliced through the AC compressor wiring. Perhaps it can be soldered. Funny chattering noises sometimes come from the dash. May not mean anything or may have to do with HVAC panel. Engine sometimes shakes. Probably needs new fuel injectors or have them removed and professionally cleaned. Good project car for a Subaru lover. I have put a lot of work into this car, got my use out of it and it's time to move on. Please ask questions before bidding. I can meet you to show the car.
