Vehicle Detail
Hello, this listing is for my 1995 GMC Vandura 3500 1-ton cargo van with 7,348 actual original miles. This was a surveillance vehicle for a Chicago Suburb it`s entire life, and was always parked indoors when not in use. Please note, that in 2004 someone made a mistake and accidentally recorded the mileage as 54,000 when in fact it was 5,400 miles , I was shown proof of this mistake. There is no doubt of any kind that the miles are not accurate. I have the original tires I removed from it, made in June of 1995, and they still have full tread. This van has the 5.7 Throttle Body Injected V8 engine with the 4L80E Automatic Overdrive transmission. The engine literally looks like brand new,it still has paint on it,all of the wires and hoses are original and in great shape. We did put new sparks plug in it. It runs, drives, and stops great. We installed a new battery 1-month ago. The muffler is original and does have a hole in it. The original tires were still on the van when I bought it,they had full tread and were actually still in good shape. However,I know better, and replaced them anyhow with a brand new set of tires. The original tires are included and the date code on them (235) coincides with the manufacture date of the van (6/95). The body on this van is rock-solid,the underside is as clean as you would expect it to be. There is a small/minor dent on the slider door that can be seen in the pictures, and one tiny little rust blister in the paint on the drivers side rear quarter panel above the exhaust pipe. The paint is original and still shines great. The finish on the bumpers, grill, etc is all original and looks like new. The interior is in great shape, there are no rips or cuts in the seats, nothing is wore out,it is as you would expect it to look for the miles. There are a few small holes drilled into the dashboard for unknown equipment that used to be installed. This van was modified inside to be a surveillance van,and most of that is still present. There are a few antenna holes in the roof, and a vent disguising the included periscope. The entire rear inside compartment is lined with soft armor sandwiched between 2 sheets of plywood, and covered with carpeting. We removed it from the rear doors, but left the rest in place. The original GM rubber floor covering is still in-place. There are a few things included that were found inside the van from it`s life undercover,a surveillance photo,a hand written note with car descriptions and plate numbers,a White Hen Pantry donut bag,and even an army helmet with a name taped to it. The only thing that is not working that I am aware of,is the horn. I am not sure why. Please,Please,Please feel free to ask ANY questions before you bid,I want no confusion. I have a clear IL title in my name. If you ever wanted a chance to buy what is basically a brand new 1995 GMC van...here is your chance. It runs and drives like a new van. I doubt you will find a nicer one with less miles anywhere. It is located in Batavia,IL 60510. You are welcome and urged to come see it in-person if you are able to do so. I would like a $75.00 deposit within 48-hours of auction-end to show that you are a serious buyer, and full payment within 1-week of listing end. ANY FORM OF PAYMENT MUST CLEAR MY BANK BEFORE VEHICLE WILL BE RELEASED!!!! Would like it picked up within 1-month of listing end, additional time can be arranged if needed.
