This is an original, unrestored bike. The original owner keep this bike from new until 2014, over 37 years. ..... It was manufactured on 6/76 and sold on 4/20/77 from Karl's BMW dealer at 12669 San Pablo Ave in Richmond, CA (near San Francisco). The second owner bought it from him in August of 2014. I am the third owner. ...... This bike was shown at the BMW 100 year Concours d' Elegance in Carmel in August of 2016 during the Pebble Beach Concours and it won First in Class. One of the judges at this event was from the BMW factory. The original initials from the pin striper are still on the underside of the gas tank. The sale includes the original tool kit, Krauser bags, BMW rag, tire pump, sales brochure, owners manual. ...... The following work/parts have been addressed since 2014: New tires and tubes. New battery. Replace base, head and valve cover gaskets. Replaced push rod seals. Complete tune up with all fluids replaced. New petcocks. New steering head bearings. Replaced roller bearings. New master cylinder. Brakes bled. Gas tank cleaned. Carbs rebuilt. Replace oil pan gasket. Carbs synced. Original mirrors included. ...... This bike has been carefully ridden twice a month since all updates were completed. It runs great with no issues.
