CB550 1973, this motorcycle had been in dry storage in the desert near Plaster city California. It had period touring options, floorboards 4 to 2 exhaust, fairing and bags. All that was removed and most original parts restored, the exhaust was not available when found so a 4 to 1 pipe was installed. The carbs were cleaned and new tires and brake lines and a few other items. A tune up and it runs like a Swiss watch. The key for the ignition and seat do not match, theRe is a period correct tool kit. There is a starburst pattern on the tank like gas overflowed long ago. This is a true survivor, less than 10k miles. I have never seen such a clean original engine. I have ridden it a few hundred miles as well as my friend. It's a little bit cold blooded, and the battery is marginal. There were many many of these bikes made, but you will find few of them in this condition and mileage.
