Vehicle Detail

One of 4483 made in this configuration. 1979 Chevrolet Corvette L-82 automatic with 55,252 original miles. I bought this from the second owner who has had it since Aug. 1984(I have the bill of sale from that transaction and a clear Georgia title currently in my name). This is a numbers matching car that is still all original and untouched except 1 repaint years ago. Black paint shines great but does have some touch-up spots, scratches on the T-tops and front end nose piece and other paint chip areas. All of this is very hard to see unless you get up close and look for it. Looks great from 5ft away. Drives and handles great. No holes are cracks in the dash. Here is a list of the paperwork it has:Owners Manual, Owner Registration Cards, Tire Warranty, Maintenance Schedule, Vehicle Delivery Inspection Sheet, CB Radio Microphone Mounting Instructions, Bill of Sale From 1st Owner To 2nd Owner. I am the 3rd owner.Oyster leather interior is still in almost perfect condition with no rips/holes or damage. It is 100% original including carpet. Best C3 original interior I have seen and in this color that is rare. Glass is all original and nice except for the front windshield that was replaced years ago. Car is loaded and has the L-82 225hp Engine Option, Automatic Transmission, PS, PB, Tilt, Cruise, Air Cond, Rear Defrost, Power Door Locks, Power Windows, AM/FM CB Radio (1 of 4483 Made) Both headlights open and close like they should and 2 brand new rear half-shafts with new U-joints, not cheap, but well worth it! I have the old ones in a box if you want them, they are rebuildable.Power door locks, air blows cold and the heat is hot, blower switch works on all settings. CB radio works if you can find anyone to talk to. Cruise, power antenna(raises up and down manually)and clock are not working. Engine starts and runs perfectly and doesn't blow smoke or make any noise. The exhaust manifolds don't even have that light coat of rust on them that most have. Last owner replaced the cap/rotor, wires and spark plugs. Brakes are great and tires have years of life left and aluminum wheels shine great with no damage. Frame has no rust holes or damage and the front birdcage is nice with no rust. All the frame mounts are solid with no rust holes. Exhaust pipes are original but mufflers and chrome pipes were replaced several years ago and still look and shine great. Still has the original spare tire in place that has never been touched.**Not a perfect car but a really nice survivor car with documentation. I do have a clear Georgia title in my name.
