This Camaro was manufactured in Los Angeles, California in November of 1968 after which it was sold by Val Strough Chevrolet in Oakland, California on January 17, 1969. I have the original bill of sale and Protecto Plate and the car still has its original black and yellow license plates. The engine, transmission, and rear end are all original to the car and the numbers match. The engine is a 255HP 350 4 bolt main, block casting number 3932388, stamped T1111HS, dated K38. Distributor and alternator are the correct type but not original. The engine and transmission were rebuilt approximately 10 years ago and have around 40,000 miles on the rebuilds. Flow Master exhaust that sound great. Interior is clean, though not original. Power steering and power disc brakes work great. The stereo is not original, has AM/FM, a tape player, and a CD bay in the trunk. There are no dents on the body but the paint is chipped in a few places (front right, hood, and below the trunk latch near the rear brake lights). The paint oxidizes over time but a quick polish makes it look like new. There are spots on the trunk lid where the paint is cracking. It looks like there was some bondo work on the quarter panel just in front of the driver's side door but it was done before I bought the car in 2002. This car runs amazingly, handles like a dream, and is a ton of fun to cruise around town in. If I had the room, I'd keep it myself.
