Vehicle Detail

1971 LINCOLN MARK III 460 w 365 HorsepowerAutomaticClear WV Title She has wheel adapters to fit these 17" police car wheels & tires, which look SO MUCH better than the stock 15"s. The only rust on this car is in the trunk floor. The paint is insane and looks 100 years old. It starts, runs, drives and stops. But before you drive it it will need a tune up and the radiator is leaking. The radiator is EASY to find, as they were the same in most Fords for many years and not expensive at all. But I am told this one can be repaired. It has been sitting for about 6 months, so it currently will not start without a jump, and it needs new fuel in it as well. The inside is filthy from the sanding and painting, and sitting for a long time, but is in pretty decent shape for it's age, and the inside will probably clean up well. The driver power window works, but the passenger does not. You can hear the motor working, so its likely just off track. The gas in it is old, so it will run MUCH better when that is addressed, as well as plugs and wires. If I were to finish this car, detail it, and put exhaust on it, it would be worth MUCH more than I am asking, but due to unforseen financial issues, AND losing my garage space, I cannot finish it, and it MUST go. I am located in Beckley, WV, just a mile or so off Exit 44 on I-77. The Odometer reads 10K Miles, but certainly it is 110K, so that is what I listed it as. The car had set for a few years, but when I bought it last spring, it started with a new battery and some gas in it. Now, that new battery has set for some time as well. I was prepared to clean the fuel tank if needed, but have never gotten that far yet, and it may not even need it. I just prepare for such things when buying old cars, and you should as well. I drove it around town 3 or 4 times with no tags, lol. It misses and hesitates some, but I chalk that up to sitting, old gas, and a tune up. It shifts perfectly, and will SMOKE the rear tires. Please understand that this car is not ready to be a driver. It needs some love first, but it is a WELL above average starting point. Every time I pull it outside, people stop to take pics of it. You will CERTAINLY have to trailer it home, and keep in mind that it is HUGE, lol. It is a project car, and I wish I could finish it. I looked far and wide for a 2 door with the 365 HP option, so my loss is your gain. I have 100% feedback and value it. I have sold HUNDREDS of items on Ebay, and I describe everything the best I know how. So, if you have a question, ask it. You may also TEXT me at 304-923-7828. (I work much of the time and am often unable to answer, but I can almost always text.) I have been 100% honest, and will answer questions the best I can, but keep in mind that I didn't get too deep into it before I took an income loss and had to stop working on it. I so wish I could finish it, and wasn't listing this auction to start with, lol. This car is EASILY worth my starting price, and I am losing money on it. It is also listed FOR SALE locally, and set outside weekends, so if it sells BEFORE purchased here, I will be removing this listing. Thanks for reading, and I hope it makes it to a happy home! I have to be out of my garage space BEFORE 15 Feb, so try your best to be able to pick it up by then, so I don't have to tow or sneak it across town. Some additions after being asked some questions. I have driven the car around the block several times. The radiator or a lower hose is leaking badly, so I never took it any farther than that. It steers, rides, and stops just fine. Everything, or nearly everything looks to be present. I had to halt all work on it, so I just didn't get very far into it. These are all the reasons it is priced like it is. I took a chance on it, and still feel solid about it being a very good rod for someone who has the time to put in it. Also, I have been asked about trades. I do not need anything but some cash. Before I would trade for something that needed work, I would just put that work into this one, as I love pretty much everything about it. As I said before, I am losing my garage space next month, and have no room for anything other than the Jeep that I drive daily. Feel free to ask ANY other questions! I will be posting engine pics after work today, as it seems I forgot to do so! I ADDED 12 MORE PICS! Engine and inside! Yes, that missing door panel is in the back seat, and I also have the breather cover!
