Vehicle Detail

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE YOU BID. Ebay would not accept the VIN for some reason it is 1G1NE52MOV60019EX First of all I purchased this on eBay just a few weeks ago from a seller that was less than forthcoming in the listing about the condition of the car. I am reselling this for what I believe will be a loss because I paid too much for it. Originally I was buying this to give to my grandson but it needs a real mechanic and I'm just not equipped to do the work to this that it needs. The story; I have researched this car as much as I can and it was originally built by GM or for GM but I cant determine the actual builder. It appeared at SEMA in 2003 as a Malibu Custom Cruiser (see the magazine picture). The bottom line is this was loaded with expensive equipment to show that GM could compete in the tuner markets and you have to admit that it is a good looking ride if it was just sorted out. What I can say is that the odometer reads only 12k miles and some change but it has obviously not been well taken care of, so now that we know the providence of the car lets take a real good look at it. The GOOD; it has many thousands of dollars in parts added to it like: > $1700 body kit from body kits.com> Turbocharged 3500 SFI 60-degree V6 engine with larger cylinder bore and combustion chamber> 4T65-E transaxle, four-speed automatic> Independent Bilstein coil-over strut front and rear suspension> Custom Airbags and switches to inflate and deflate the bags> Custom airbox for increased airflow demand> BASF Sublime Lime exterior paint> Black leather Sparco Milano interior these seats are in great shape (4 leather sparko racing seats $950 each)> Unique front and rear fascias, rear spoiler, rocker trim and raised cowl hood> Mille Miglia EVO 19X8.5 wheels ($265 each) and NEW tires> Custom green carbon fiber interior and exterior trim.>Aerodyne Aerocharger 53000 series turbocharger> SSBC custom disk brakes on all 4 corners (stops really well)> Stereo system with 12 inch speakers behind the rear seats (2 systems installed and 1 extra deck) it has massive amps that I'm certain are worth a lot.> Black and green carbon fiber interior with a custom console> Custom headers and exhaust )BORLA> Title is clear and ready for sale from the previous owner Okay I drove it from where I purchased it (about an hour away from where I live) and the motor ran fine, the lights, heater and wipers worked well but here are the things that I can tell need to be addressed: > The motor has a rattle in it that sounds like a rocker arm or lifter but it doesn't seem to miss or smoke or run poorly it fired right up after days of below zero weather.> The suspension bangs when you go over larger bumps, I don't know if this has to do with the airbags or not, I have never had airbags on a car before.> Both headlights are loose in the sockets (but still work) and one is cracked but these can be replaced for cheap.> There are a couple of door trim and headliner pieces that need to be re-glued but all seem to be in tact. > I just drove it today and the transmission seemed to slip a little, might just need trans fluid but anyone that knows these cars know that the trans has no dipstick and fluid has to be added until it runs out of the pan plug - I'm not going to do that once again a mechanic needs to buy this.> When I did get it up on the highway it has some vibration at 70 MPH and I think it just needs a good wheel balance for that bit> The console cup holders need new bottoms (cups) they somehow broke through. So here is the deal, you ask....... can I buy this and drive it to Hoboken New Jersey = me: I wouldn't recommend it, I drove it about and hour and it did fine on the highway but there are things that should be addressed first and the trans fluid is one of them. I highly recommend that a mechanic buy this and bring it back to life the way that it was intended. If not, there are several thousand dollars in parts added to this thing as noted above that can be sold for a decent profit. I just don't have time to do it. I am list this with a VERY LOW starting bid and I believe that I have accurately described this vehicle. Ebay also wont take the vin number, maybe because it was recently sold on ebay? the VIN is 1G1NE52MOV60019EX
