Rare 1978 Ford F-150 4X4 "step side" with the larger 351CID motor and 4 speed manual transmission. This is an almost an all original truck with the exception of small things such as mufflers, wheels & tires. There is only two spots where the steps meet the rear fenders that have the normal rust through the size of a quarter (see photos), the rest of the body is in great condition for its age and only has surface rust, minor dings/dents here & there. The floors and door jams are excellent original condition. The truck has been stored in New Mexico the past 6 years (never registered) and sat in California for approximately 15 more years, prior. Last registered in CA in 1995. This truck was recently given to me by my brother in CA. He had put new tires and wheels and had it running good, but never finished with the registration requirements that CA had such as smog & weight certificate. The truck will need to be restored and is being sold as is where is, not running and will need at the very least a battery, fresh fuel system, brakes checked, belts and other items that may wear from sitting. We are currently trying to obtain the original title back from the CA DMV (they hold them during the registration process), but no guaranties, due to the length of time that has past. The title is free of any liens and not a salvage. The truck will be sold with a Bill of Sale only, if the title cannot be returned. Thanks for looking,
