Vehicle Detail

Selling my 80 year old fathers R1100RT for him as he's decided to move onto other things in life. Bike is in very good condition and has been meticulously maintained. I literally just put new Metzler M8 tires on it this week for him in order to sell as he would have it no other way. Bike has heated grips, OEM removable saddle bags and removable truck w/backrest. I've ridden the bike and was quite impressed at how smooth and comfortable the bike is. Couple things I noticed, the left side front brake rotor "buttons" are pretty sloppy so I'll be including a used replacement OEM rotor in excellent condition with the sale that I ordered as soon as it arrives, a $500+ value new. The gear indicator by the fuel indicator bar works great but the large green neutral light on the column seems to work only when it wants to. I'm told there is a neutral switch inside the clutch bell-housing which can be replaced but at $180 for the switch, my father just lived with it and got use to looking at the gear indicator for reference. The seat is in overall excellent condition but it looks like there is about a 1/4" "crack" in the leather/padding on the riders seat but it's quite minor. There is a safety brake light "flasher" kit that was put on the bike so when you start the bike up the ABS lights flash. I've found after riding it, and my father confirmed, the lights do go off when you get moving. I had them stay on for me once and alternated between flashing top and bottom ABS light. I came to a stop. Shut the bike off, restarted and took off again and the lights then went off. It's an irritation but he had the bike shop that put them on confirm that was going to happen. Beyond that, all turn signals, flashers, heated grips, electric adjustable windscreen, horn, etc. work as designed. Paint is in good condition but there are the typical rock chips along the front of the bike's nose as one would expect but being black, very hard to see. Valves were checked within past 5,000 miles, engine oil, final drive, and transmission oil have all been changed within the past 500 miles, and as stated new tires as of 11/22/17. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
